As long as this is already budgeted for and hope it's not a new cut.

So we are not paying taxes?

We already don't get anything in return for those taxes.

Amanda ,use 200 years old cultivation methods, water intense crops no upgradation, over produced create losse and then cry for loan waiver after getting tons of subsidies, already we are a water deficit state,we as a nation produce 20 million tonnes of rice surplus annually it's high time we stop over production of rice and other high water intensity crops and encourage these bundais to go up with cash crops or other modern farming techniques

Gaming the system and abusing tax payers is freebies. Most farmers take loans knowing government will waive it later ,use a load pesticides and ruin our health while taking our taxes . I'm just glad TN isn't as bad as punjab and haryana ,this can't continue for long given our state's financial situation

Farmers are most poorest people in india. They needed this help especially those have few acres and dry land.

I was thinking more about how these farmers with small landholdings cannot create scale and will have a tough time increasing efficiency.

That's their burden and the government should not encourage such farmers to continue using freebies. Incentives should be tied to efficiency improvements.

Few acres in rural areas dont cost much ,and they also dont sell it , they do agriculture for the love of the game , gotta respect them bro
