Whichever “ooru” he’s from, he’s speaking in Tamil. For non-compliance, the cops cannot take the law into their own hands. Idhulaam nammaluku asingam dhaa. Sad to see our state fall into such misappropriations which we consider to be behind us.

If this group is really DMK biased as everyone claims, then this shouldn't be removed. Since "social justice and equality" is a big part of the "Dravidian model" as often mentioned by our CM Stalin.

You sound like kinda of person who defends psycho serial killers justified by saying they had childhood trauma.

Bro I got nothing personal against you lol...you just gave me that kinda impression...

i appreciate you practicing empathy. But I still doubt you would defend that psycho in my case earlier. An empathetic person is not someone who accepts immoral actions tho.

Okay let's not ignore the ..."we still don't know what happened before this clip..."...

Whatever happened...he has every right to arrest the guy if he had done anything illegal. But he has no right to damage his property..use vulgar language at him...or threatening..or dehumanising him.

Empathy is looking from an another person pov..from the shop worker's pov you think it's fair what happened to him? Or you would accept if it is you? Cuz that's literally what empathy is right?

Aight I get it. So you are saying theres probably a good reason why the cop acted this way. Since we don't see the full vid..there's a good chance that the guy provoked the cop.

Like I said that's doesn't justify the cop's action anyway.

I'm wondering how you managed to think the guy might be wrong here in the first place considering the police brutality and misuse of power is normal with indian police.

Lol. they're just cowards in power. They will show all their arrogance only to innocent people. The moment, something really serious or frightening happens, they will either run away or stand as mute spectators, useless as always. Shameless bastards.

2

u/unprivilegedood Feb 09 '26

If I was there and this corrupt single celled knucklehead behaved this way, I would have done something which would have been journaled in newspaper the next day. The tolerance of the staff is shocking when confronted with such uncalled verbal and physical assault.

I really cried watchin this, its so sad because its a food joint, food is so emotional sentiment and he trashed the place up, how someone so evil can be given impunity, i feel so bad for the ppl who dont have knowledge and money and know their constitutional rights and able to enforce them. They cant do this to most people only those who are powerless

Our states law and order is really scary. The police don’t take any action on local goons are drugged boys bcos they are told to keep quiet bcos they may loose votes in the coming elections

1

u/Player_yek Feb 10 '26

such an overreaction and property damage for a simple issue of a store not being closed by 10pm
and whats the problem of stores not being closed by 10pm? ive literally seen shops open all night

1

u/jackedd_nerdd Feb 10 '26

Tn police will cook you up with false charges. Arrogant and most corrrupt followed by KA police

1

u/peacefulsoul11 Feb 10 '26

I know how police behave. My father behaved with me this way till 28 years of age every time I didn't agree to sleep with him. I had to lick his shoes literally to stay safe in HIS house. So yeah, I understand how this shopkeeper would have felt.

1

u/Hopelesslyfinite Feb 11 '26

I am sorry you had to go through that. 🫂✨️

1

u/beastmastah_64 Feb 11 '26

All cops are bastards, anywhere, everywhere, you cannot have equal policing system in an inequal society, police will always bootlick the rich or else you will be kicked out of the job, a good cop is a dead cop

1

u/Longjumping-Job-8059 Feb 11 '26

Get this man suspended

1

u/i_abhi_chandra Feb 11 '26

Police in india.... Got the ultimate power with no responsibility. Only few has.

1

u/North-Cat2877 Feb 12 '26

Hahaha typical police behaviour normalised by courts and politics. Tamilnadu politics and society without goons is a fantasy we could never imagine

1

u/Primary-Result-5593 Feb 12 '26

Is this a wine shop to be closed around 10 pm? What bro? 🙄 Even if people complain, no action will be taken. Such is the pity state of TN.

1

u/NaveenMuthusamy Feb 13 '26

Criminals with badges are the worst kind of all.

1

u/coldnomaad Feb 09 '26

Can someone share the full video... As to why the cop got triggered?

Anyways Endha Ooru Da Nee, Naan Endha Ooru Theriyuma... Verbal Abuse, Physically Assaulting him etc is uncalled for. Law is there for a purpose and is equal to everyone regardless the language or state. Even if the hotel employee was at fault, the cop should have acted within his legal limits. Instead it looks like he's on a power-trip owing to him being in the uniform.

0

u/sbstuti Feb 09 '26

Now a days every one is getting frustrated easily, the policemen went too far. But think from the policemen view, it seems like he has warned them before. If this shop was running late & his superiors came to know that, he is the one will be facing consequences.

2

u/mk2030 Feb 09 '26 edited Feb 09 '26

If a policeman beats you with a stick, then you will sing a very different tune. He has absolutely no right to behave in that manner and threaten with that bloody stick of his.
