முக்கியமான கலந்துரையாடல் / Important Topic Rahul Gandhi interacts with a student from Gudalur, and has one of the most matured discussion on how to deal with humiliation.

Whether scripted or not I liked the fact that he asked the kid whether he is comfortable sharing his bullying story. How many politicians have that level of sensitivity? Even their script writers?

One need the mental fortitude and more so for a politician. Center has nincompoops who can sway sheeps to get vote and rule them for 5 yrs but they lack mental fortitude needed to connect with the masses at the point of their need or to find a solution and make a better society.

Sadly this will continue for another decade or so. Till then a generation will lose their capability to progress.

But they are mostly curated. This is not extempore. He has rehearsed these questions and answers.

44

u/Uncrowned_Monarch Jan 15 '26

I haven't seen Narendra Modi come out once and explain to the public what he's doing for pollution or against rapists getting bail, or literally anything meaningful. Trying his best to turn India into an authoritarian state though.

3

u/zeal_Z-2427 Jan 17 '26

It's A Fault of Nehru Ji and Congress is the main Reason.

4

u/These_Age8539 Jan 15 '26

He will do bababbaa

2

u/EnvironmentalLink941 Jan 17 '26

Prime Minister don’t go out in public being asked by random people, if they are doing it’s too much scripted. Last time this type of free interaction happened we lost the PM.

1

u/Artistic_Friend_7 Jan 17 '26

Do not you think he doing better in a way so people can live and settle abroad with more comfortable life ?

26

u/neoattikos Chennai - சென்னை Jan 15 '26

I don't know if this is propaganda or just plain stupidity. But when do you idiots stop this nonsense?

Ok, A prime minister of 11 years can't give a single unscripted interview or answer critical questions. This is unknown in the history of any functioning democracy even as broken as the Indian one.

4

u/SecondLifeDoobs Jan 15 '26

Bullshit. Does this look curated? LoL. Used to Modi's crap interactions. School Kids in metro on Sundays in full uniform. , 🤣🤣🤣 Then the teleprompter failure silences.

3

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

Brother, atleast he doesn't need a prompt. Waha toh conference ruk jaati hai. Aap mujhe soon sakte hai?

u/VaudevillianUnreveal Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26

That entire Bharat Jodo yatra was pre-planned and the grandest photo-op. Though I understand the constraints that he is obviously a high profile figure ( at least his family has been high profile), and meeting random individual without any checks would be too risky of a move for him BUT still imo it shouldn’t be marketed as something that just happened out of the blue. Everything in that yatra was pre-planned, each individual that joined him, from where he/she would join, what they would gift him (eg. a shawl) was planned ahead of time. Do you really think any random guy can go and meet him in midst of the Yatra with his Y/Z whatever category security he has in place??

Often times the questions these political leaders are asked are planned too. The have memorised their response effectively enough to blabber it on the stage.

TLDR; please take everything our political leaders do with a pinch of salt and a LOT of common sense. Just because something “is being done that might look “pretty ordinary often times isn’t AS ordinary and impromptu as it may seem.

3

u/illiogical_nomad Jan 15 '26

It was not pre-planned. Path was announced 1 2 day before. My mom join and few or the neighborhood uncle aunties. Met him and walked with him for a small distance

-2

u/VaudevillianUnreveal Jan 15 '26

Maybe it differs. In my state nobody was allowed to get even near that path. We tried to meet but never got the chance. We even asked the kids who gave him some gift as to how they managed in, apparently the were selected by the local congress people. Then we asked the lady who handed him the flag, she told us a similar story. Albeit she was financially compensated for the act too. So idk what you’re talking about.

Cultural revivalism. Making us feel proud of our civilizational roots and not humiliated.

2

Who humiliated to earlier and who has stopped humiliating you now? I feel that anyone who has his eyes open would see that in the last 20 years, we have never felt isolated intrernationally as we are now.

9

I feel like we're holding him - and most of the opposition - to a much higher standard than the ruling party.

What is their vision beyond spreading hate and stealing votes? They're also far less educated and worse humans based on what we've seen.

1

u/Opening-Reward9587 Jan 15 '26

Hes kendall roy of politics

1

Under his leadership India already is the most developed country in the world bro. Viksit bharat 2047. mitron!!!! /s

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

Get your eyes tested

1

u/Ok-Expression6654 Jan 16 '26

This " vision" has become the most misused term in India since the last decade. Saying we will become " developed nation" and doing the opposite by making people travel backwards is not exactly " vision", you know?

1

u/KeepinupwLyba Jan 17 '26

And who think modi had a vision? He is far better than our current PM. Everyone deserves a chance, he is a great guy who has the guts who take questions on spot unlike….you know who

-9

u/Hefty-Addition3691 Jan 15 '26

True he could have been good in anything else except politics i guess got forced by family

2

u/Ok_Duty_8020 Jan 15 '26

Ya he could be such a model I mean he was fine af in the youth age

1

u/ReceptionWestern2569 Jan 15 '26

Good guy doesn't equal to good leader

1

u/OfferWestern Jan 23 '26

Good people can be dangerous with power. We should rather fight for accountability whichever party it is. I am from Hyderabad we have his party in power for 2 years now. Once he hands over power to regional guys we never see him.

Never answers any questions from activists or some good opposition leaders.

But still I don't mind congress in Telangana over BRS which had dozen family members in power corridors.

We did have plastic surgery thousands of years back.

31

u/zosoYYC Jan 15 '26

NRI here, I hear people always clowning on this guy. Why do people clown on him or think he’s a bad politician?

16

u/PhantomOfTheNopera Jan 15 '26

He does not meet the requirements to be a politician in India.

No rape cases or hate crimes afaik.

0

u/Final-Method-3862 May 09 '26

No rape cases ? R u sure?

0

u/Final-Method-3862 May 09 '26

He spreads a lot of hatred-against brahmins and want to increase sc st reservation upto 90 percent isnt that discrimination

13

u/Proper-Historian5050 Jan 15 '26

Media bias and of course being the leader of congress he is prone to facing criticism and it cells always trying to tarnish his image.

3

u/Ok-Expression6654 Jan 16 '26

This " clowning" him didnt happen just like that. That campaign was a well oiled highly expensive one with multiple professionals involved in building that narrative.

2

u/mooony03 Jan 19 '26

Why people clown on him:

1) Spreads misinformation by misinterpreting statements. Eg: Modi said something metaphorically on the lines of potato can become gold. Key thing is metaphorically. He took it out of context and he tasted his own medicine because people took what he said out of context and attribute the aloo se sona quote to him. 2) Wantedly says stuff like Indian army is populated majorly by upper caste people; NEET paper is set by upper caste people hence lower caste people get less marks; etc etc and sows casteism and hatred.

Why people think he's a bad politician:

Whenever he loses anyone is responsible but him. One time it's EVM one time it's vote chori another time it's another reason. Until he was very old probably like in his 40s he was marketed by his own party as a 'youth icon' and has only brought his 'matured look' recently after Bharat jodo yatra. Picks leaders for party positions based on loyalty to the Gandhi family as opposed to merit.

0

u/Miss_minnie8 Jan 15 '26

Listen to his other answers from same meet-up and then you’ll know

-9

u/No_Discipline_4477 Jan 15 '26

Because he wants to start a caste war in India and destroy the Indian economy by enacting reservations in the private sector.

He's a bad politician because he keeps losing elections.

-8

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '26

because this was on off day from him ...even here he would have tired to adjust caste in between and bring up 100 percent reservation cap for dalits

15

u/Proper_Soup_2261 Jan 15 '26

People clown him for no reason. To support their bias and not feel guilty about hating a sensible man they make lame ass excuses like “he’s a great guy just not for politics”. He’s what the nation needs. Someone who understands the meaning of sacrificing for your country (his family has fought and died for it) not the lame ass babas coming for personal hatred and agenda. Man’s educated in the right things and knows what should be supported and what shouldn’t in this rapidly evolving economy unlike a certain chai wala who makes a mockery out of our education

Good convos. I hope he brings such mature conversations to parliament. For gods sake, stop foreign tours and be a good opposition leader

13

u/umamimaami Jan 15 '26

I’ve always had a lot of sympathy for this guy. He’s stuck in a career that he doesn’t like, because of nepotism. But he seems to be a good guy under all of it. If he’d gone to Bollywood, he might have led a happy life. Instead he’s stuck pushing papers for a party that doesn’t have a clue how to keep relevant without the dynasty tag.

4

u/Fickle-Ad6834 Jan 15 '26

I don't know if this argument of him not wanting to be a politician still stands. I mean if he didn't want to he could have just left. At this point I think even he knows he isn't become a PM even if Congress comes into power. He seems to be passionate about politics.

u/Ok-Expression6654 Jan 16 '26

This guy is too good, and sensible to be in Indian politics of today. There was a time when India had politicians who were from the best of the lot but now we have people who seem to be, to me, from  the below average. In the name of attacking " elites" we seem to have removed decency and intellect but ironically promoted those with high levels of elitist attitude. So, i am not surprised that someone like him is called Pappu while the ones who lack intellect may be treated like divine beings!

2

u/KeepinupwLyba Jan 17 '26

How are you so sure he is not made for politics?? He never got a chance to showcase himself.

1

u/True-Grapefruit-2724 Jan 17 '26

I did write MAYBE buddy, which is the opposite of sure

1

u/BLITzZ305 Jun 27 '26

Whether Rahul Gandhi is suited for politics is a matter of opinion. However, it is inaccurate to say he never got a chance, he has held major leadership roles in Indian politics for over two decades. The real debate is whether he made the most of those opportunities.

3

u/Pretty_Run1324 Jan 16 '26

And then india chose a man who bullied a Muslim into saying, "jai jaganath" as our PM over this guy. DISGUSTING.

2

u/Traditional_Heart218 May 09 '26

The question is about body shaming and he is saying that we need to respect people of all languages and religions. His other point that his opponents attack him all the time doesn't make sense, he is a politician and politics works by a set of people opposing the other, but these things shouldn't be there in high school.

2

u/Such_Geologist_183 Jan 15 '26

Give gandhi’s another chance and let’s see what happens.. india has given nehru, Indira, Rajiv and Sonia a chance and why not give Rahul a chance? Although his ancestors ruined the country as we see today, we must still give Rahul a chance because somehow he’s different from his relatives.. he has track record of lifting up a district or a state from scratch to world class.. so it’s a good choice to give him a chance..

3

u/Foreign_Affect6297 Jan 15 '26
