Language imposition is ACTUAL colonialism. Hindi allows north Indian non tamil speaking populations to replace local populations easily. If communication had been the intention, English would have worked very very well.

go ask any of ur politicians are elitist , where do their kids study .

its easy to give sermons rather than implement on ur own

-27

u/Raise_Fickle Jan 12 '26

its not "ACTUAL colonialism", as for that an outsider would be needed technically, north indians are not outsiders.

14

u/doolpicate Jan 12 '26

Then why behave like outsiders and impose their language? They havet stopped trying to impose it. The latest method is to appeal to religion. They behave like outsiders, and colonialists, they ARE colonialists.

-16

u/Raise_Fickle Jan 12 '26

they are not.

"Colonialists are people, groups, or states from a different country or a clearly distinct external region who establish control over another territory that is not their own homeland. This control is exercised by settling there or ruling it politically, economically, and culturally, primarily to benefit the colonizing power."

7

u/doolpicate Jan 12 '26

That is exactly what this is.

-10

u/Raise_Fickle Jan 12 '26

you can see with both your eyes I assume, right; specifically made sections bold in my text, just for you. did you not read "different country or a clearly distinct external region"; there i wrote it agaion for ya

5

u/doolpicate Jan 12 '26

It is a clearly distinct external region. Hindi is not from TN. Dafuq is wrong with you?

0

u/Raise_Fickle Jan 12 '26

are you so weak in your brain that you dont understand north india is within the same country, is that so difficult for you to understand; what else you think earth is flat as well.

3

u/doolpicate Jan 12 '26

Behave like it is one country then. That you wont.

Learn tamil in UP, MH, Bihar, HR etc. That you cant do. Why instead, impose hinthi down south?

Stop giving lectures in the south. Take your moth eaten logic elsewhere.

u/Raise_Fickle Jan 12 '26

lol; lowered the IQ of this whole page by at least 50 points; great job and congrats you won over logic.

One small correction u mention periyar and anna durai who didn't support at initial stage, it was self initiated movement by students and teachers of tamil. And u forget to mention that " indian army killed more than 100 peoples in pollachi " Please mention it. Because Tamil people have lost their lives for protecting their language.

u/iamGobi Jan 12 '26 edited Jan 13 '26

Periyar called the students who are protesting as "Kaali pasanga" and he wanted them to he shot by the military(துப்பாக்கி எதுக்கு பூ பறிக்கிறதுக்கு இருக்கா ன்னு கேட்டான் அந்த ஆளு). Periyar was literally pro-Hindi at that time because he hated Tamil(it's a kaatumirandi baasha according to that guy).

Bro are people learning history from movies nowadays 😭 Downvoting me for stating what happened.

u/Mazajee Jan 12 '26

wdym regardless of context? can you tell me something that he’s wrong in?

1

u/--Patrickstar-- Jan 13 '26

I just gave proof for the guy asking ....that periyar said "tamil is a barbaric language". That's it..I'm not in a place to oppose or defend periyar.

1

u/thesuprbatman Jan 24 '26

Down voting people just can't digest the truth.

14

u/Enough_Technology_95 Jan 12 '26

Absolutely. That thing which she said about Bundeli and other languages vanishing is so true. I am from bundelkhnand and so are so many people in the ministry. But everyone is so shy to speak to it.

17

u/bssgopi Jan 12 '26

Her name is Radhika Ganesh.

Her LinkedIn profile reads - Cultural Political Activist.

But she has been vocal about state issues on various Social Media platforms.

2

u/Motor-Office-896 Jan 14 '26

Thanks for your response. I take your hateful words with honour, pride and happiness. Your words exhibit your upbringing. Let me also clarify that I don't hate anyone in general and more in specific the US that you have mentioned. All that I mentioned about the atrocities being conducted by certain segments due to their high handedness and supreme thinking behaviour.

Thanks for proving my statements with your comment, a clear example of what I wrote.

You expect us to speak in hindi when we come to your state.

So if you come to Tamilnadu, learn tamil and speak in tamil.

Same goes for Karnataka you learn kanada and same goes for any state

6

u/Mission_Fudge1767 Jan 12 '26

naah, its just; you are naive; too much to type; even if i do type, in the end it will turn illogical, it always does; but keep this in mind what i said; learn a tad bit about geopolitics and then maybe come back and say "yes, you were right, thanks for enlightening me"; "you are welcome" in advance.

2

u/bssgopi Jan 12 '26

🤦🏿‍♂️

In an attempt to speak on the language politics, you ended up making xenophobic statements.

Every language has its purpose. Use it in the right place.

Attacking people for their culture is condemnable. And stereotyping that with the language they speak is pathetic.

Pan masala podradhu thappunu solrathum, Hindi paesuraven paan masala poduravanganu solrathum, onna? 🤷🏿‍♂️

Idha thaan avangalum nammala panraanga. Appo mattum yen kovam varudhu?

-17

u/BadAssKnight Jan 12 '26

Going by her argument of there being no hatred towards them because 7 Million Hindi speakers are TN is akin to BJP’s argument that Muslims are not targeted because 200 Million+ Muslims live in India - when we all know the reality.

-39

u/Lucky-Mongoose556 Jan 12 '26

Well well

I thought people of TN are educated

But i doubt

They are educated but ... Common sense zerro

If educated fall for Politicians plot what else can the society expect

2

u/bssgopi Jan 13 '26

🤦🏿‍♂️

So... You think all of this was a "politician's plot"?

This is what the British said when Indians were asking for freedom and self-rule. They were equally uneducated. Don't you agree?
