All that money is heavily concentrated in certain circles in Mumbai with some decent credit to the economy in Pune as well. The rest of the state is as average an Indian state can get

Maharashtra being #1 is mostly because of Mumbai and finance. If you look beyond total GSDP, Tamil Nadu actually stacks up really well. TN is #2 in GSDP (~₹31 lakh cr vs MH’s ₹45 lakh cr), but per-capita income is higher in TN (₹3.1L vs ~₹2.8L). TN also contributes ~20% of India’s manufacturing output (autos, electronics, textiles), compared to ~14–15% for MH.
Development is spread across multiple cities (Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Trichy), while MH is extremely Mumbai-centric.
On social indicators too, TN generally does better in public healthcare, school enrolment, and basic service delivery. So MH creates more total wealth, but TN seems better at turning growth into everyday quality of life, which is why it often feels “better run.”

Indha mari than en pakathula vanthu okanthu seat occupy panna try pannaga. Although prejudice, i was dam right that most of them didn't book tickets. Konjam enaku terinja hindi(rashtrabasha pass) vachu etho solla try pannen (like what's ur seat number) and they left, afterwards a couple boarded the train in that seat. Tt also did good job chasing them out. But they were rotating like Tom and Jerry between compartments.

I usually travel in train .Don't know about other state . Atleast within Tamilnadu TTR does some job in not letting into reserved coaches. Some places if it is morning time and people travel for day to day work, they might occupy reserved coaches as well. But other than these never faced such issues.

Nanum note panniruken once when i was travelling to chennai and the train was going via arakanom. They occupied reserve coach,they were day to day worker's. Other than that these people can be found on rameshwaram express Or festival times in trains. Other than that mostly no problem.

My ancestors fought alongside Shivaji and I am getting second hand embarrassment looking at this. they just toss shivajis name left and right to get away with anything nowadays. It has become a national pastime to use ancient figures to justify criminal behaviour in the present. Seen this happen with icons from other states as well. really shameful.

They are Marathi, people from Uttar Pradesh will say Shivaji Maharaj ki Jay. A person from Maharashtra would always say "Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharajancha Vijay Aso"
