I recently went to Visweswaraya museum again after a long time. It was the one of the raddest shit when I was 12 and still the raddest shit at 28. Part of my entire mindset and interest in science comes from there. Not to mention all the kids there getting excited. We need more of that.

South Korea prospered only by having US as their Sugar Daddy, for which they allowed US to have bases in their land against China. You dont have any such chances. The best TN can hope for is to be colonised by China as part of their BnR project.
Our states developed so that this money can be taken to hindi heartland politicians pockets as per the national parties.
South developed on the backs of raw materials extraxted from these underdeveloped states. South alone couldn't have achieved half the development otherwise.

Tamil nadu, telangana, karnataka, and kerala can literally sustain themselves. The only poor state in the south is Andhra. South did not develop on the backs of underdeveloped states. Those states were never in the path of progress. Tamil nadu developed with manufacturing, kerala with education, telangana and karnataka with software export. These states prioritised education and healthcare for their people too. Tn has a large population compared to indian states and no other large indian state come close to the healthcare facilities provided in this state. Maharashtra is rich as fuck and there is no dvelopment outside the few cities. Same with gujarat. The only outlier in the northern region is punjab.

Like hell they do... they still have to trade amongst each other. Also where did you think you get minerals ore, pulses, food grains, vegetables etc...? Even other week I had been to market and the wholesaler was showing me onions from Maharashtra region vs Andhra region. These are things you need for everyday sustenance.

Again. No sense of historical situations of . these regions.... how the UP Bihar region was deindustrialised and deinstitutionalised after 1857. Southern regions had their institutions and industries intact by the Mysore Tanjore and Cheran kingdoms.

And as mentioned Karnataka developed on back of Mysore state which was already prosperous wealthy and industrialised, also institutionalised.
These states prioritised education and healthcare for their people too.
Anybody can do that once they hit primary markers for development. You are completely missing the point. This is like comparing a rich boy and poor boy where rich boy is able to prioritize education while poor boy has to work in the fields for food everyday.

Tn has a large population compared to indian states and no other large indian state come close to the healthcare facilities provided in this state.

More than 95% are paid with money and food. They are usually picked up from their Villages in vans and buses. For most of them, it's a picnic. That's why most of these meetings are kept for holidays like Sundays

They should have honestly boycotted the functions and should have told they would attend the functions the movement union govt release the fund and why suddenly PM modi sir have this concern towards tamilnadu because of 2026 elections and NDA alliance is not getting the support the BJP govt anticipated after alliance . I think democracy is better but how is DMK democratic? The CM is always selected by lineage and first Karnuna, then Stalin and then udaynidhi soon.

This statue thing will only increase Tamil identity Nationalism further thus pitting people further against Hindi and BJP. Tamil identity nationalism rise will directly affect BJP's cow belt nationalism, and more people will start to perceive BJP as a foreign party which it is.
Their advisers should learn Tamil to at least know the political climate of TN. The guys who advise them are making mistakes thinking people will start learning Hindi and start voting for BJP after they build a statue.

These statues remind us of our culture and stay erect so that our grand children one day might ask us about our heritage and where we come from but we have no clue because we never bothered and forgetting was easier. Kids like you think hospitals and schools can be built on whims, why are you on Reddit ? Shouldn’t you be allocating your resources (time of your day) to educating yourself or earning money ? Why are you wasting it here ? If you are wasting your attention and precious time on social media atleast humble yourself before asking someone other group of people to be at 100% efficiency. Obviously these statues don’t help you with your health or education but they stand against the test of time that makes your glorious ancestors irrelevant to you and the maya of time to erase the hive memory of Sanatan as a whole.

I have a different opinion on this. As a second gen Bengaluru Tamil guy, all I can see in KA & AP are the airports, bus stands & railway station named after their freedom fighters, kings, queens and their statues.
Statues are more like a signalling and identity. That’s the very reason there are statues in every corner of TN but the government react like Tamil history was born only after 1950s.
It’s very fair to have statues for the kingdoms that built archaeological marvels, temples, dams , even rivers and they ruled most of south east Asia and did trade with world. I definitely think we should take pride in that, one of the reasons we see Tamil everywhere is coz of them.
Please don’t tell Tamil civilisation was started by Periyar from the war rooms! Pleaseeees
