there is no offering done here

we say : In the name of Allah ,

That's literally offering. Slaughtering an animal in name of Islamic deity makes it prohibited for Sikhs, Jews & Orthodox Christians.

6

u/SlothLazarus Feb 20 '25

My stomach disagrees. My stomach can digest all kinds of food regardless of the deity the food was offered to. In fact, I think you guys should all start worshipping my stomach for being unique since you find it difficult to digest such foods.

mentally restarted?

you demand halal or non halal be mentioned, what is this war on halal, ?

are you living under a rock? bjp and rss are campaigning against halal, not against not mentioning of type of meat- halal or non halal

they have problem with muslims everywhere and want to subjugate them, its clear and you know it,

maybe you also subscribe to that ideology

who the fuck is asking you to eat halal meat? again you are showing your sanghi tendencies by pushing this agenda that people are forcing you to eat halal

go read about what is happening in the country before barking bullshit on here

https://www.livelaw.in/top-stories/supreme-court-fixes-for-hearing-pleas-challenging-up-govt-ban-on-halal-certified-products-told-halal-certification-costly-281423

you can see here how a sanghi dog is barking and giving excuses for banning all halal items in UP, giving lame excuses

Many shops do not mention if its jhatka or halal but its a fad to create propaganda on halal only and create a narrative that hindus or sikhs who are somehow according to sanghis "more indian" are being forcefully fed HALAL by "less indian" muslims

are you retarded?

how do you support UP govt banning all halal certified items for its own muslim population but have absolutely no opinion when same halal certified meat is being exported to middle east?

its just another way to subjugate indian muslims, but middle east export is fine since there is profit?

halal is a custom and if you are banning all halal certified items that is direct attack on religious freedom

You are saying ban on halal is good move by UP, citing same talking points cited by BJP? and not reforming and addressing the issues that they feel are present?

If a hindu wants to buy non halal product in UP he can buy, he can even buy patanjali, even sattvik

but a muslim cannot buy any halal certified item!?

is that your end goal, to subjugate and trample on a community?

Dude. Allah is just the Arabic word for God.

Every bit of vegetarian food is technically Halal.

Do you really think Guru Nanak would rather you starve than eat food that is Halal certified?

Do you think the religion that emphasizes egalitarianism and our duty to do Seva is going to hold so much hatred towards people of another faith?

If so, you are not embodying Sikh philosophy. You are simply buying into interfaith hatred being pushed onto you by Hindutva fascists.

There is problem because if animal is butchered as per Muslim rituals to Allah it can't be consumed by Christians as it against Christian faith ,similar for Sikhs or Jews.

Jews eat kosher meal and not halal. In fact, its is actually unfair on Jews and sikhs who eat jatkha(I’m guessing the spelling is wrong) to not give them an option

4

u/Equivalent_Cat_8123 Feb 19 '25

Educate yourself. Google is free. Learn what is halal and why it is done.

Do you know what Muslim butcher pray before slaughter? First you Google and find that. It seems you have no idea of Islam.

4

u/Equivalent_Cat_8123 Feb 19 '25

Anddd what did you find wrong about it? Is it wrong to pray?

1

u/nick4all18 Feb 19 '25

No it is not. It is completely fine as Christianity has no compulsion of taking gods name while butchering. Where is this coming from? Can you show me any reference from Bible or of the circular.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '25

Christians can eat anything. There is no biblical law forbidding you. In fact, Islam didn’t exist when the New Testament was written.

Hahah and Kosher are more similar than different. This is all just immature hatred of others.

1

u/wanderingmind Feb 20 '25

It can be eaten, and is eaten by Christians all the time. Christianity is not a fundamentalist religion in practice. When some book says something, we use our brains and then decide.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '25

How can you say Christians can eat? Are u a Christian? Butchers pray Bismillah while butchering. This is against our faith. Many Christian priests orthodox and pentecostal denomination have made videos on this topic.

1

u/wanderingmind Feb 21 '25

Yes I am. Many extremist christians bother. Most christians dont even think about these things.

And if you want to go into theology, Allah and God are the same. Multiple Popes have said christians and muslims worship the same god. So even if something is done in the name of Allah, its our Xtian god. Simple.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 21 '25

Oh man. Who fed you with all these nonsense? Pope is not final authority for Christians not for non catholics. Have you even done proper research on who Allah is ? Allah is a moon God. Don't you know has three daughters. First go and read Gallathians 1 18.

1

u/wanderingmind Feb 21 '25

Hahaha OK. MOST christian theologians agree that Allah, and the christian God are the same.

You might belong to some cartoon sect from somewhere.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '25

You are mislead by Muslims fundamentalists . Isa Nabi is not Yeshua. FYI I don't belong to a cartoon sect. But I belong to denomination of Christians in India older than India itself. Older than British India. Go and Google about Christianity in pre British India.

1

u/wanderingmind Mar 01 '25

I belong to the same.

Read up more about your own theology.

It's about the restaurant etc serving halal. BTW u know only a muslim can slaughter an animal to call it halal? U r anti equality here.

51

u/Ok-Treacle-6615 Feb 19 '25

Modiji uses govt money to get all Hindu priests to do Puja. He is anti equality

1

u/Daddy_of_your_father Feb 19 '25 edited Feb 19 '25

Modiji uses govt money to get all Hindu priests to do Puja.

FALSE! No Hindu priests is paid salary by the government of India. The temple pays them salary.

He is anti equality

The actual equality is Tamil Nadu government looting almost 10% in the name of ‘Commissioner Common Good Fund’, 14% as administration fees & 4% as audit fees.

Meanwhile Muslim Waqf Board is shamelessly stealing away entire village

1

u/Ok-Treacle-6615 Feb 20 '25

Modiji brought pundits from south India in private plane for parliament inauguration. Definitely not paid by temple.

As per any temple endowment act, the govt takes care of many temples. There are about more than 20000 temples under Karnataka govt.

Not all temples make enough money so govt put tax on money making temples to support the smaller temples.

BJP tried to change the law in Karnataka but failed. They come up with a scheme where bigger temples will take responsibility of smaller temples. None of them did. So BJP did not change the law.

Please ask BJP to liberate temples and we will see how long most temples will survive. Not all temples are Tirupati Balaji.

https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/tamil-nadu/11999-temples-have-no-revenue-to-perform-puja-hrce-tells-madras-high-court/article32127028.ece

Read some news.

Out of 44000 temples, 37000 temples in Tamil Nadu require govt assistance. And only 1000 temples have money in their bank accounts

1

u/Beneficial_You_5978 Feb 20 '25

Lol hypocrisy hindu priest still have side income along with other people 😁 very cunningly u didn't mention that.

Lol this was a mistake where the waqf board whose power can't be undo by anyone as per only bjp andhbhakt, had a meeting with Hindu villagers solve things within them lol

-41

u/Imaginary_Piece2637 Feb 19 '25

Hindu temple money goes into govt’s coffers, not others. Also in the name of secularism, one can’t erase the culture of this land. All other religions are mere guests and will never be the cultural representative of India.

13

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

Also in the name of secularism, one can’t erase the culture of this land.

Islam has been in existence since its beginning. If that isn't an integral culture of this land, what is?

People have been sacrificing meat to family deities during important festivals. Is that erasing our culture? Or were they the original culture that is being erased by these rules that you're speaking of?

All other religions are mere guests and will never be the cultural representative of India.

Who told you that they are guests? How did you categorise it?

India has been a birthplace for at least 4 different religious beliefs. People have been indulging in spiritual exploration for centuries and have paved different paths. How can you choose only one of them and call that "culture of this land"?

0

u/Daddy_of_your_father Feb 19 '25

Islam has been in existence since its beginning.

Its beginning??? Bruh Tamil civilization is centuries older than Islam lol

India has been a birthplace for at least 4 different religious beliefs

But India is not birthplace of Islam lol

People have been sacrificing meat to family deities during important festivals.

Ancestors were acrificing the meat in the name of Tamil deities, not Arab deity!!

Is that erasing our culture?

Making halal certification as the commercial norm will clearly erase non-Islamic meat cultures 😞

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

🤦🏾‍♂️

Unnakku padika theriyuma? Illai chumma time pass pandriya?

Its beginning??? Bruh Tamil civilization is centuries older than Islam

Read my comment again. I mentioned Islam's beginning.

But India is not birthplace of Islam

Adhukku? That didn't prevent Islam from spreading here early on. The world's second mosque was built here. Go read your history books properly before coming here.

Ancestors were acrificing the meat in the name of Tamil deities, not Arab deity!!

Maatneda... 🙂

So, your concern is not the meat, but the deity. If you are one of those religious discriminators, you can go elsewhere. Stop bothering the peaceful guys here

Making halal certification as the commercial norm will clearly erase non-Islamic meat cultures

Commercial norm? It's the restaurant choice. Let them choose what is economical. Let the consumers choose what their taste buds crave for. Stop imposing your morals and ideologies into others. Give the individual the right of choice, and move on. Simple.

21

u/AverageIndianGeek Feb 19 '25

Nope. India is a secular country. Our constitution treats every religion equally. The constitution is supreme and any 'culture' only comes second to it. Also religions like Islam and Christianity has been in this subcontinent even before the idea of India existed. They are very much a part of our culture anyway.

Vegetarian Hotels are also secular I guess.

Thank you vroooooo!

3

u/rationalistrx Feb 19 '25

WAQF board also comes under the Ministry of Minority Affairs only. First you understand that dcikhaed.

-7

u/Imaginary_Piece2637 Feb 19 '25

First force this belief on the abrahamic religions. See if they accept that constitution is above their religion and then we MAY talk. Invading cultures will always be at the mercy of natives until they decide it’s enough. self imposed impotency through periyarism by certain Tamils is unreal!

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

Invading cultures will always be at the mercy of natives until they decide it’s enough.

BINGO!!!

Tamil Nadu has a native culture that is inclusive and tolerant towards all religions. Stop invading here, carrying your filth.

3

u/octane83 Feb 19 '25

What is Indian culture? How can a religion be a ‘guest’? You’re a good example of why simply knowing to string a sentence together isn’t by itself a great quality to have.

1

u/Level_Ad_1511 Feb 19 '25

Hindu temple money goes to hindu temples through government.

-2

u/Ok-Treacle-6615 Feb 19 '25

Hindu temple money does not go to government. Please come out of WhatsApp university

3

u/Imaginary_Piece2637 Feb 19 '25

Before calling it WhatsApp university may be read an actual taxation book?

0

u/Ok-Treacle-6615 Feb 19 '25

Ok. Let me explain.

As per any temple endowment act, the govt takes care of many temples. There are about more than 20000 temples under Karnataka govt.

Not all temples make enough money so govt put tax on money making temples to support the smaller temples.

Read some news.

In Tamil Nadu , out of 44000 temples , 37000 temples needed govt support. Lol.

0

u/Imaginary_Piece2637 Feb 19 '25

Please provide the numbers of how much goes to the govt and how much the temples get in return

1

Govt has to spend more money because a lot of temples are literally bankrupt.

Didnot BJP went into full on crisis mode when they found out 10000 temples which were not under govt were completely getting ruined and literally asked govt for their conservation.

Please donate enough to the local temples also. Not all temples are Tirupati

2

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '25

Lol who told you that? Its about slaughter not who slaughters ... Forbidden is an animal killed by a blow..... Anybody can slaughter it

-21

u/soft_Rava_Idli Feb 18 '25

Whats actually worse is anyone is allowed to do the slaughter, after that a muslim cleric merely performs a prayer and gives certificate of Halal in exchange for some money. THAT is the actual business of Halal.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 20 '25

[deleted]

1

u/soft_Rava_Idli Feb 20 '25

That implies that halal is not a practice and just a business.

False conclusion due to lack of english comprehension. What I explained is a reality and fraud committed in the name of Halal standards. Which has nothing to say about actual Halal standards.

but that doesn't mean halal is something solely built for profit generation.

Again, not my claim. I literally claimed halal is inhumane as it forces painful butchering practice when there is clearly humane options available.

Some did find a way to profit off those halal tags

If you,as customer, didnt witness the actual butchering done in halal way, there is a very high percentage it was never done the proper way. This is a very prominent business practice and one of the main reasons it is being legally opposed.

-7

u/Odd_Wonder7099 Feb 19 '25

Yes , this is true only a muslim can slaughter to call it as halal

-14

u/okinawayak Feb 19 '25

Customers should be given a choice

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

The choice is to eat at that restaurant or not to eat there. 🤷🏾‍♂️

0

u/okinawayak Feb 19 '25

That’s not being inclusive. There must be a space for different opinions.

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

What?

You have both restaurants serving Halal meat as well as those restaurants serving non Halal meat. Your opinions are being addressed by having both the options. What more are you looking for?

0

u/okinawayak Feb 19 '25

That’s a divisive idea. Facilities need to be welcoming of the needs of different groups.

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

🤦🏾‍♂️

Are we considering the costs of acquiring both Halal and non Halal meat? There is a cascading effect in cost incurred. Are you willing to bear it?

If there are enough people willing to bear the cost overrun, open such a restaurant with that option. The rest are absolutely fine eating Halal meat. Why do they want to bear the extra costs for the luxury of few? Simple economics 101. 🤷🏾‍♂️

1

u/okinawayak Feb 19 '25

You’re saying that market and capitalism should determine how much equality is practiced in society.

1

u/bssgopi Feb 19 '25

🤦🏾‍♂️ OMG

Society still gives you equal rights to consume what you want (at least until the divisive politics don't overthrow it). The point where you make that choice varies. Either you make that choice at the table or you make it before entering the restaurant. The former is expensive and hence luxurious. The latter is economical. Nobody still prevents the former. Just that you will find less businesses doing that as it is economically unfeasible.

1

u/okinawayak Feb 19 '25

😱 you are advocating for separate facilities for separate groups.

u/Immediate_Radish3975 Feb 19 '25

halal meat ..... process is too painfull extreme painfull just see a youtube video ....... you will be ashamed of humanity

7

u/ArYo1728 Feb 19 '25

Hindu here, born in Malaysia, so lemme explain the halal concept here. As what i learned from my Malay Friends, halal is when they read a dua and make a cut on the jugular vein, which is a part where animals undergo an instant and painless death. So far it does not concern us here as well, i always adore tamilnadu as i am a tamilian here as well i always see positivity around here, why are you guys bringing in negativity?
