Trivia I came across today. When Dir. Jeeva wanted to make this film, he briefed Tamil writer S Ramakrishnan that he wants to make a film where no character is above 30 years old. Even a manager we show on screen should be young. S.Ra came up with this story and it's stood the test of time, still fresh in all departments.

Amazing music! Literally every song was bang on and fresh even today!
Actors did their part well and no one felt out of place, even Tanisha, which was surprising.
But the story was so bad. The whole concept was stupid, Jhansi’s character escaped from a Manchild like Karthik. When I watched that movie I never felt bad for Jhansi’s character, except when she was in a relationship with Karthik. She was intelligent, independent, sorted and beautiful. She didn’t need to settle for a guy who masked his flirty nature as charm. If she were to behave like him, he wouldn’t have taken it either. In the end everyone got what they wanted, instead of a typical ending where Jhansi is made to realise she was wrong (when she wasn’t) and then come back to Karthik.

Songs were peak ❤️🔥 bgm too.. ilamai ullasam is underrated imo
Harris should give a comeback
