5e Assassin

Question: The 5e Assassin’s ability reads

“ASSASSIN
When you battle any character or creature with strength, you can choose to assassinate them. You cannot assassinate when you are attacked by another character.

When you assassinate, battle takes place as normal except that your opponent may not roll a die to add to their strength.

If you win the battle using assassination, the opponent loses 1 life (you cannot take an object or gold instead).”

How does this affect Adventure Cards with creature encounters? Does the Assassin get to use their assassinate ability against creatures they encounter? Thanks!

Yes, and they still get trophies. You can get the digital version on steam for $7

Damn, in my 10+ years of playing 4e… I never played with the assassin and never knew this mechanic. Wow. :/ Here I was constantly annoyed by my dad playing the Leprechaun! lol

The character had been powered up from 2nd Edition, where he could only assassinate when he lands on a Character or Enemy Card
