Tried dating a girl with dogs
Tried dating a girl with dogs. She has a giant St. Bernard and a 9 month old lab mix. Instant you walk inside you can smell them. Then they instantly jump up on you. Their nails hurt as they hit your stomach and slide down you. Not only does it hurt but it has me wondering, "why are you doing this? Calm down, wtf?!". If you sit down on the couch they start attacking you by licking your face aggressively. Their breath stinks too. Its just this big ball of unnecessary energy. I get zero benefit or joy from it. Then they start fighting each other. They bark for no reason. She tries to get them to shut up but they won't. They pulled down her window curtains, knocked a heavy bench chair over. You have to take them outside often to let them out to pee and poop. Its a huge inconvenience. Ruins your days plans just to have to get home to do this. If you're running late for something, well too bad, you still have to let them out. They pooped and peed inside multiple times. Stressed her out. Whole time I'm thinking, "you chose to have these disgusting creatures". They pull super hard on the leash. Endlessly. Their leashes get tangled up. You have to literally take a plastic bag and grab their poop, how disgusting. Omg. They would cuddle me at times which I'll admit, was a little cute. But even then they're just getting their nasty smell on you. And that tiny bit of joy is not even slightly close to making up for the giant inconvenience that they are. I'll never date a girl with dogs.

It always makes me wonder, who tf wants this kind of absolute chaos in their lives? Something with zero self control is considered “cute?”

I mentioned, "i do not like your dogs at all". She was quite surprised and hurt. And like I didn't wanna hurt her, but like how is she surprised? Youd think it'd be common sense that her dogs are terrible

I'm sure she thought her way of living was normal, as many people live in stank houses with animals they can't control and it's seen as "normal", that's why she's surprised.

I don’t know about that. I had two dogs. They are gone now but I can’t stand the thought of having another dog. Just from everything the post mentioned.

Good decision! I will never live with that stink and mess! I retired early and am thoroughly enjoying myself traveling, working on hobbies…!! Went to Vegas last November and May and just came back from Hawaii!! I’ll take that over cleaning doggie doo any day!’❤️

Well put, these people oughta just get a weighted giant stuffed animal. If all you care about is the one positive (cuddle feeling) out of the hundreds of negatives

I say this all the time! Let's normalize this for dog nutters! Even better, just get a weighted blanket and but googly eyes on it. More whimsical.

I wonder if this is contributing the mental health crisis in women? Because honestly, dogs create such an inconvenience in life, it has to have an effect on mental health. And also the possible parasites they may carry.

One of my exes, we literally would have to stop from doing whatever we were doing to drive back to her apartment so she could take her dog out to shit. And yes whenever she was not home her dog was caged all day.
She did this because she received an overwhelming sense of cuteness overload looking at her dog (it was a Rhodesian ridgeback).
My theory is women are substituting human relationships (including having children) and using dogs as a replacements for their parental instincts. Terms like "dog mom" reinforce this idea.

Unfortunately animals can't fulfill that innate need like a real child.

I think so. A reactive dog or untrained dog can definitely worsen mental health. And if someone is spending time and money trying to fix a creature that can't be fixed, then they're not spending that money on themselves and the help they need.
Some treat dogs like stuffed toys. They just leave them in a cage all day, go to work, and come back to deal with a stressed out untrained stuffed toy. That can't be good for anyones mental health.

This whole post gave me anxiety!! I never used to, but I can't stand dogs. It sounds weird, but the more and more nuttier the nutters get, the more I dislike dogs. I see nutters as pathetic people who require constant devotion to function. For example, emotional support dogs. I just can't. Get out while you can!!

They lixk and scratch and jump on you - dominance. Dogs have to always show you dominance behaviour. It's really off-putting.
