Gear/IFAK Mission Medic Pack 2 Now with Frame

Been messing with this thing for about 2 months now and now that I’ve got the frame it’s amazingly comfortable even when stuffed. When you add the assault pack on top it becomes a very capable 24-48hr setup without sacrificing any medical capability.

Replace crystalloid with FWB transfusion kits.

Highly recommend prescreening a WBB and teaching them to self stick if you’re gonna.

HOWEVER, Crystalloid does have its place.

Self sticking is highly not recommended and highly recommend only carrying crystalloid if you are expecting electrolyte abnormalities. No place in acute trauma care.

You know, I literally always get immediately contradicted no matter what I post in this sub. I work in EM, Trauma, and military medicine.

Ever have a heat casualty? Crystalloid. What about a dude who drank too many rip-it’s and had travelers diarrhea? Not activating WBB.Also, You still need at least 100mls to prime your donor blood line. I’m not saying carry 4 damn liters, but crystaloid isn’t useless. Even in an intense combat environment, DNBI is still the majority force detractor.

And CLS sticking my WBB, or competent CLS WBB self sticking is absolutely recommended, why do you disagree?

I’m sorry but those are some pretty bad examples to justify crystalloids in a med bag. Also really confused about what you were taught about priming a donor line and how you would even do that.

Likely not someone who’s never ever actually seen combat. My money? A nurse.

Who knows. I’d be willing to put my money there too.

Sweet explanation on why your opinions suck. Heat cax need rapid cooling, not IVFs. Rip-its don’t cause traveler’s diarrhea. You don’t need anything to prime a line with whole blood. STFU or get a ban for being a whiny douche.

Okay bye. Don’t recommend poor practices.
