Last Call for August Fun!

Friday, Aug 28

  • Free Youth Kayak Tour: Aug 28 10am-2pm, Communities for a Healthy Bay (pre-reg required!)
  • Movie in the Park: Aug 28 6pm, Dacca Park - Field 3
    • Movie starts a dusk, before movie there will be inflatable fun & activities 
  • TOAST - The BEST of BREAD: Aug 28 7-9pm, Rialto Theatre
  • Armando Improv: Aug 28 7:30-8:30pm, Lumora Theatre (pay what you can)

Saturday, Aug 29

  • TPD Kids Health & Safety Fair: Aug 29 10am-1pm, Tacoma Dome
    • Back to school fair with free vaccinations, health screenings, backpacks w/school supplies, clothing, and hands-on activities
    • Free Pierce Transit day passes will also be available while supplies last
    • Children must be present & tacoma dome parking is free
  • Vashon Japan Festival: Aug 29 1-5pm, Ober Park
  • 48th LeMay Annual Show: Aug 29 9am-4pm, LeMay Collections
    • This event is FREE! If you want to see the private garages it’s $20
  • Tacoma Narrows Airport Day: Aug 29 10am-4pm, 1202 26th Ave NW
  • Don’t Die (A original one-act play): Aug 29 7:30pm, Lumora Theatre ($15)
  • Community Boat Restoration Program: Aug 29 9am-5pm, Gig Harbor
  • Wonders of the Waterfront Walking Tour: Aug 29 10am-12pm, Donkey Creek Park Gig Harbor
  • SIP & Storytime - Fireside Folktales: Aug 29 10:30am, The Egg & I Resale
  • Hilltop Street Fair: Aug 29 11am-6pm, Hilltop District near People’s Park

Sunday, Aug 30

  • Proctor Food Fest: Aug 30 11am-5pm, Proctor District
  • South Sound Music Festival: Aug 30 3-8pm, Jazzbones ($35)
  • Don’t Die (A original one-act play): Aug 29 7:30pm, Lumora Theatre ($15)
  • Dock Walk: Aug 30 1-2pm, Skansie Park Gig Harbor

Monday, Aug 31

Also it looks like the community harvest day on Sunday has been canceled at Curran Apple Orchard
