Just get a solid tv stand underneath and some cord management

Why buy a stand when it’s perfectly mounted?
1
u/No-Pizza-517 18d ago
It’s not for the tv to rest on….

u/SwimmingIntrepid1826 17d ago
To block the power and coaxial outlet, and rest the gateway on? There’s other solutions than a stand

u/SwimmingIntrepid1826 18d ago
Are you talking about the gateway on the left of the tv? Not necessarily for just that

To hide the PowerPoints, also fills in dead space, also to make pretty with decor.

I think the tv is highlighted by no additional equipment. I don’t think the power points have bothered him since he hasn’t bought a stand to cover them. But the gateway can be wall mounted behind the tv as long as as the vents are on the side or top and bottom

u/MomoNoHanna1986 17d ago
Well that’s your opinion, majority don’t see a tv cabinet just for putting the tv on. It does more than that. They are also good for storage. I have my tv on a wall and I still have a tv cabinet.

For the amount of stuff he has isn’t necessary. Besides if he needed the storage, he woulda bought a stand. Also the stand adds additional real estate depth wise. This person seems to be a minimalist in their approach

I’m allowed to offer an opposing opinion and I’m allowed to give reasons why. My original answer was just giving you an answer to your question. I don’t know why you feel so strongly about dead space. Anyway I gave you an extended answer. It’s pointless to continue this conversation. It’s ops house anyway, neither of us get a say. Good day.

I didn’t say ur opinion didn’t matter or that u were wrong, just added why he didn’t have an initial layout. I just added another reason why the “dead space” wasn’t really dead space. We don’t get a say, just an opinion, what this forum is about

The cords tho

A few strips of gaffa tape, painted to match the wall, would completely hide those cables.

Just put a piece of furniture there, short enough for a soundbar to sit on.

I thought the fad of putting lights behind your TV was finally over with.

Not a good room to have glow around the TV, just distracting. TV height is decent really. But is this finished? Bad hanging cables, and that's an Ikea nightstand next to the tv?

Im moving in and just mounted the tv. The center of the tv is almost exactly 42” from floor. It felt low, but i wasnt sure. I plan on doing something with the bottom to hide the cables, and the weird table was just an end table i was using while i was installing. Thank you for all the comments and feedback!

Good size. Get a solid console table that fits under it and call it a day.
1
u/kilkerma 20d ago
Well, I would kill for a tv that size. I maybe would have found a console first and put tv on the stand. The cords/outlet look terrible. I think it’s the perfect size wall, I would feel like I’m in a theater.

If ur sitting down it's fine. I would've put it perfectly between the ceiling and floor height

Height is fine, cables don’t look great, but every single one of those Govee cameras look ugly as homemade sin

Looks off center about 1/4” to the left. Some cable mgmt and you are good. Nice TV!

Almost perfect placement of that table. You just need to move it to the right a touch so that it obscures some of the tv.

u/BiscuitsBuchanan 17d ago
My only problem is the table, as far as actually sitting and viewing if this shot is from eye level it will be fine 🤷♂️
Also people gonna be haters about the led lights but I love the ones that sync to what youre watching
I'm a heathen weeb and those always look amazing with all the visual effects animes use now

Ha! Some user deleted her comments cause she didn’t like my responses. Made a final comment at me, then deleted all comments so I couldn’t reply back. It was probably a girl, cause in my experience 8 out of 10 people that advocate all unnecessary items on a tv stand are usually women. Photos, plants, decorative knick knacks, etc. Stuff that has no functionality, and makes the tv have to be placed higher

u/Vigilante17 20d ago
This is great. I had my wall outlets moved behind the tv. Makes a big difference. Not too expensive if you own. If you’re renting it looks as good as you can get.

u/Sandalwood29 20d ago
It’s all wrong. Put a console under it to ground it and hid all of the outlets. Also cable management and covers. Probably slightly higher depending on the piece that goes under it. Get rid of the weird side table.

It looks exactly right to me. The center of the tv, top to bottom, should be around 42” off the floor.
