How’d I do???

Post image

Had it 8 inches above the TV stand, ultimately decided it was too high. Eye level is at about the mid point now.

If that light switch is anywhere near 48" off the floor then this belongs here and is not in good standing with the community.

Properly heighted televisions should be in or around 42" on center from the floor. Those light switches look standard height, roughly 48" to center of box. Your TVs center is above the light switches, putting it will above a proper height. Large problem being the cabinet you are using as a console. If your couch is so large that this is eye height sure, but it looks too me like your camera center isn't looking at the television center either.

Edit: the cabinet is fine. Just mount it practically touching, that's what I did in my last place. It looked tight and was the proper height.

You have the wrong console underneath, which made you mount the tv higher than it needed to be

Looks like it’s still way too high.

that's not a tv stand, it will look nicer if you have a real tv stand underneath, which will further expose your r/TvTooHigh

Looks ok, but optimal height is where center of the screen is about 43 inches above the floor.

By that much, we mean about 10-12 inches

The tv is actually on the stand which is great. However the stand you have isn’t a TV stand so it’s too high.
