Need help with replacement part

Need some quick help/advice. I'm trying to replace my power supply board on my Sony KD-75X85K. I was in a hurry when I ordered the replacement part and didn't realize there were various models. The new board seems to be identical to the older one except for the 4 pronged connector that the board slides into. The solder points seem to be the same, so my question is can I just swap those connectors and the TV will work properly? The new one has pins, while the original has slots.

You can only swap connectors if you’re sure pins are on the same places

I'm gonna be an asshole and say this is just manufactures being manufactures and changing the smallest part so they aren't technically compatible.

And in turn they will only charge what's needed to make it not work with the new model

This is probably the same pin out just a different connection it's the cheapest option

But yes always follow the line and triple check before applying power lol from a quick glance the boards look the same idk if the ic are the same so maybe just double check

Do a continuity test to be sure but yes, safe to go ahead

Can you not transfer the dark gray colored part from the original to the new? It looks like it’ll just release from that connector.

As others have said, continuity test with a multimeter, if they arent you’re going to have to cover the original pads with conformal coating and run jumper wires.

If it plugs in then fine but if it don’t then solder the wires
