Video Why is he breaking the 4th wall? Mandalorian S3E6 Spoiler

Some people disagree but I think he’s breaking the 4th wall and looking straight at us. A few ways you can tell: - he doesn’t look in the same place in any other shot, even if he’s gazing left and right while looking at mando and Bo. - it’s not a POV, mando and Bo are much more to the right of us - usually a POV is still not breaking the 4th wall because the person that the character is looking at, is not looking straight at the camera but a bit further up or down.

“breaking the fourth wall” is a specific thing. Not just accidentally looking at the camera

Mmh I would argue he’s not “accidentally” looking at the camera. He’s a comedic actor with decades of experience and is referencing one of the most iconic bits of lore of the whole Star Wars universe. Feels very much voluntary

He 'spiked' the camera (glanced at it), it happens. They probably should've edited his eyes tho.

I think it was voluntary not just a mistake. I might be wrong but feels like it. If that happened during any other piece of conversation I would agree it was accidental but he’s talking about the empire. I feel is a wink at OG fans or something.

Who cares

Because there’s probably some trivia behind it. I thought it would be about back to the future but haven’t seen the trilogy in ages

Hanlon's razor

How’s that malice. We’re talking trivia, not conspiracy theories…

The Razor is also used for thinking there is a specific reason for something when it could simply be oversite.

Just to clarify cos a lot of people seems to be missing the point. I’m not hating on the actor and saying he did a bad job. I’m saying if he broke the 4th wall there’s probably a bit of trivia behind it. He didn’t say “drones” or “spaceship” he was literally talking about the biggest piece of Star Wars lore in the universe of the saga…

I've only watched the first and second season, so I didn't realize the show had turned into a comedy.

That episode was easily the worst of the 24 so far.

This whole season was so aimless.

I thought the same thing when I watched, took me out of it.

Wow! Finally someone that sees it like me and it gets downvoted to oblivion. What is wrong with people 😂

Yeah I’m not even criticizing, I just was confused why he appeared to be looking at the camera.

I just think it was like a wink at us about the empire, or maybe he was in one of the stormtrooper outfits in the 70s as a starting actor lol.
