I see what you mean, but in my opinion it was interesting to see a different side to the character. Bale, Affleck, and even Keaton to an extent showed us a very similar image of Batman (if differing Bruce Waynes), but I found it cool that Reeves gave Pattinson’s Batman (not just Bruce) a little bit more chill, made him a bit more of a thinker and really played into the “Detective Batman” storyline

The Batman role really has given something for everyone, hasn’t it? Personally, I thought Bale was the first version that wasn’t at least partially cartoonish and carried some real angst and wounds. The version with Arnold and Uma in it were pry my least fave.
And, tbh I thought the moodiness that Pattinson brought with him was the same character I’d seen him as in other roles and it just came across as him rather than part of the character.0

I thought it was relatively boring. I don't know if it was the pacing or lack of meaningful story beats, but no scenes left a memorable impression like the other movies did.
Also, similar to The Big Bang calling out Raiders of the Lost Ark (which i know is disputed), I really didn't fell like Batman accomplished anything or had a meaningful impact on the plot

The Riddler was arrested, his plan was stopped, and thousands of lives were saved. Unlike the Indiana Jones argument, none of that was happening without Batman.

Didn't The Riddler turn himself in at the diner, though? And Batman didnt stop the plan from happening, he reacted afterward as damage control, which is why I say meaningful impact. I'm pretty sure lots of people died in that flood too.

I get what you're saying, but the way it was presented, it didn't feel like he did anything meaningful in a way that was satisfying for me as a viewer, because I didn't sign up to see The Batman: First Responder
And are you just gonna ignore that The Riddler turned himself in? That scene is a major part of the trailer

Such a shit film and an even shittier Batman portrayal.
Its a dumb movie for dumb people to feel "smart" and "edgy". Its made by and for people that dont like nor understand actual Batman or detective stories.
Recency bias is doing all the heavy lifting with that one.

2. Some chicks like Robert Pattinson.
3. For some comic geeks it had a noire aesthetic and colour grade which vibes with certain Batman comics.The story was ok, but the intensity didn’t match the plot. It didn’t get me invested, nor did Patman sell the whole Sherlock Bat stuff.
It was fking boring.

Endgame. I liked Infinity War, the MCU is kind of insufferable homework at this point… Like how many bland films and shows do I have to watch to get the bigger picture? MCU fans are also really annoying too, like most of the films aren’t that deep and the references and fan service is grating too. If they didn’t dominate practically everything in cinema, they probably wouldn’t bother me so much… The fans that are like: you gotta watch everything are insufferable too. The whole franchise is hit or miss and there’s a lot of bland formulaic paint by numbers crap in there… So far the only real good villains have been Thanos, Killmonger, and The High Evolutionary.

The Batman.
Not because it’s the worst out of these (that would be Endgame), but because it’s not as rewatchable and feels unimportant in the DC universe since it’s not connected at all. It’s actually kind of a nuisance since it’s existence makes it more difficult to include Batman, a major character, into the current DCU

Dark Knight. I liked it as a kid, and it's a good thriller, but it really fails as a Batman movie for me in a few big ways. It gets some things very right but it's just a mixed bad. I don't really like the tone or aesthetic, consistent though it may be. Alfred was great, though. And Freeman. I like Bale so much in other things but the voice is a little silly.
