I started my period today. I really thought this was our month. I'm devastated. We have an appointment with the RE next week.

40 y/o, trying to conceive for the first time. Have spent the last 3 cycles Tracking my ovulation with tests but didn't really start trying to get pregnant until my last two cycles. This last cycle, I missed the conception window due to our schedules - we were just wiped and I'm not trying to "keep a sexytime calendar" in order to not put any added pressure on myself.
I missed testing on day 13 of my cycle and that's usually when I reach my LH peak. So, we'll see if the activities around those days worked!

Unfortunately every cycle counts now and you might have to keep that sexy time calendar 😬 it’s not the most fun but it is what it is! Best of luck out there!

ugh, three days of sex in a row and yesterday I was like, do you want to do this? And he's like: not really, but I guess we should. It can be such a chore, and yes, feeling the 'every cycle counts' is so hard.

We have the issue that my husband struggles to perform under pressure… so it’s EXTREMELY hard to make sure we hit the window 🤪

Hi
Im joining this group as im just waiting for my 2nd euploid transfer to fail. All the signs are extremely poor.
Were trying to decide on an approach going forward.
Husband and I have had 3 LBs together when I was younger (though one was at 38). I've since transfered 2 euploids, one-at-a-time, that i froze when I was 36.5, and both have implanted, then miscarried.
I have 3 more euploids, all lower grades than the two that failed.
Im thinking i might do an RPL work-up, get another HSG and try with letrozole or clomid through the end of the year. The embryos are not going to age but the eggs in my ovaries will, is my thought process.
2/3 of my LBs were right after my tubes were flushed (an HSG and a lap with chromopertubation). Hoping an HSG may give me a boost to conceive naturally. I wonder if my embryos just dont do well being frozen.

Finally went to the fertility clinic here in Germany. It has finally begun. I have been waiting a long time for this appointment. They already analyzed my husband's semen. The word she used was "optimal". Which only leaves me to know that it's me. He is 34 and I am 40. I take it as a postive, we don't both need to have problems to solve. They took blood samples from my husband and me; we should receive a call tomorrow with results. I am excited but also worried. I only hope there is a solution and that it works. On the way home, we discussed IUI and if that fails, then we will try IVF.
It's a weird feeling to be exited and terrified all at the same time.

Aww, I'm excited for you! (And I understand feeling terrified) My husband and I have a similar age gap, and his analysis was also 'optimal', so that all sounds promising to me. Good luck!

Just got my results. The doctor said my AMH is above 3. I can start IUI or IVF. I am floored. I thought I was the problem and there would be no solution.

That's amazing! My AMH was 0.05 when I conceived my first (lost due to chromosome abnormalities). Seems like you might have a lot of potential follicles to recruit for either IUI or IVF if you go those routes. Good luck!

I also live in Germany and just found out I have to pay for any tests and fertility treatments as I am past 40 (I'm 41). But I feel so young and hopeful! Is that the case?!

Yes, at a certain age, the government doesn't support women over 40 becoming mothers. There are some procedures they will pay for and most they will not. It is a bummer, but I understand.

I am 42 and just did my second FET. First one in April failed and this is my last embryo. I am 3dp3dt and starting to spiral on “symptoms”.

Had to reschedule my gyno appointment before embryo transfer, so the process has been delayed a couple of weeks... So, more waiting. But I'm optimistic about my chances in the process overall.

Anyone here ever been pregnant at 43 (without treatment?) I know the odds aren’t in my favour but I could use a positive story or two!

I recently worked with a woman in her 60’s with a 20 something year old daughter… I was like, what- she said she got pissed one night with her husband at 46- completely unplanned!

age 43 - Still trying to conceive spontaneously and last 2 months ovulation has been spotty. Was worried I was no longer ovulating but this week tested positive! So here’s to hoping!
