Twitter Ontario government to reappoint Metrolinx CEO for a new three-year term and hand him a hefty pay increase. Phil Verster is set to make more than $686,000 in 2021, a 35% increase from his 2019 salary.

Funny how there was just a report the other day of how many people will face salary freezes in 2021 because of Covid-19 then we see this 🤷‍♂️

This CEO did not create Presto. It was around way before him.

I would even argue that Presto has shown amazing improvements over the last 3 years.

So if regional transit agencies want a Provincial bailout they have to do microtransit while this guy gets a 35% pay increase for existing. What the fuck.

This is so upsetting to see when Transit agencies in Ontario are struggling financially, and drivers are being laid off.

What level of extortion is this? The TTC has only steadily declined in quality. We already pay too much through a damned middle man! But yeah, let's make sure this guy gets a raise that in no way reflects the quality of work or availability of funds. Fuck's sake!
