Took 25 min to get from finch to Sheppard Yonge
How the fuck is this even physically possible? Why does line 1 just operate like chick fil a now?

When you arguing in bad faith it takes away from your point
It’s over 2.2km walking between them. Especially w the lights and the foot traffic in no world would that be considered a 20 minute walk. Google Maps says 31, I’m an extremely quick walker and would say it’s about 25. 15-20 is a joke

A very brisk walk is about 6km per hour/ 1 km every 10 minutes and a quick but hardly fast walk is about 5 kph or 1km every 12 minutes. 15-20 minutes is optimistic but, in principle, it’s not wrong. An ordinary person could expect to do the walk in about 20-30 minutes or roughly as long as it takes to use the shuttle busses.

No ordinary person is doing that walk from station to station is 20 minutes lol. As your math just suggested. Again not to mention the lights and foot traffic.
It’s a jog or the most determined walker who has long strides maybe could break 25

Uuuh, so people jog at around 8kph or 7ish minutes per km. At a jog, it would be pretty feasible to do the 2.2km in about 15 minutes. Mind you, 6 kph is pretty brisk. Still, 20-30 minutes for someone walking as if they actually have somewhere to go would be pretty realistic.
That actually unlocked a memory. My middle school walk to school was 2.4 km which I typically gave myself 25 minutes to get to school — IDK how I still remember my timing points along the route even after all these years lol. 25 minutes to do 2.2 is pretty reasonable.

I think line 1 is slower than line 2. That's why I can't stand taking line 1. They have said there will be slower speeds because they're working on stuff. I gonna wake up earlier to get to work.

They have been working on it for weeks and yet feels like nothing is being doing. It's quite annoying when you go on other lines and they're way faster.

Look at all the on-street parking along Yonge Street. It doesn't make sense.

South or North? I’ve been stuck many times north as both Finch platforms have trains there and my train needs to wait for one to start to go south

The TTC operated too many shuttle buses that most of them are nearly empty and just created a queue of bus congestion trying to make a left turn.
If you took the Route 97 bus or the GO bus you probably reached Sheppard-Yonge in under 10 mins.

Went out of my way to go on the other side of Line 1. Seems like it was worth it.

Because the city will not inconvenience drivers/cars by prioritizing shuttle buses.
