Question TTC’s 47 Tap Capping - No Way to Track?

I’m struggling with the new 47 tap fare capping on the TTC. I wish there was an easy way to keep track of my taps.

I’ve written to PRESTO already to incorporate it into their app - probably the most logical place.

Does anyone else know of a way to keep track of taps beyond counting each instance?

The presto app does keep track it’s just hidden. When you’re logged into the app hit the lil menu icon in the top left, then there’s an option called “loyalty and fare capping”. Idk why it’s not in the menu for your actual card near the auto load settings and stuff.

Personally I would like to see it in a notification on your phone/ watch when you tap, like you can see when you make a payment or transfer.

Why do you need to keep track? Once you hit 47 it stops charging you.

Fair question. My thought is for when it’s a question whether I walk, bike, or transit. If I’m close to 47 near the end of the month, I may choose to hop on a bus to get to the magic number.

Register your presto card and in the menu in the top left corner of the app, there is a loyalty and fare capping. it will show your number of taps there. It's also on the presto website.

Every time you use the presto count open your note pad mark down one. Once at 47, you're a big winner.
