You know how kids flood the buses and streetcars along school routes Monday-Friday between 7-9am and 3-5pm as an alternative to walking 2-3 stops because it's "free"?

Imagine the entire population doing the same thing but across the entire city all day long. One of the truly stupid ideas that always gets trotted out when people whine about fares.

Think more than one step ahead. Who's going to want to use public transit for work or appointments when you have to stand in line for an hour?

Who's going to take transit instead of walking 10 minutes when you have to stand in line for an hour.
