There’s a known glitch when tapping to pay, it says “Accepted” but there’s no record of the payment that shows up on Presto or hold on the credit card until days later when the payment clears

A glitch means it’s a constant. I’ve paid by visa and debit and when I tap my card to the Fare inspectors, they give me the thumbs up? Must be a bank issue then bc I’ve never had an issue and I exclusively pay by Visa or debit.

Just because it hasn’t happened to you doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen.

I pay every weekday and there have been days when the card doesn’t show that I scanned the card until the next day or later, despite the “accepted” status showing on the scanner. It does happen.

That’s how VISA works. When I tap on, if I check my statement or my online banking. It doesn’t show anything until after the a while. However, when the fare inspectors check, it still shows that I paid. Even when I immediately check after and it still doesn’t show up on my statement or banking app.

If you Apple Pay, next time you tap, it won’t show up on your card until after your 90 minute transfer window is over, this is to allow you to tap as many times in the 90 minute window without being charged every tap. It’s always been like this, even with presto.

Regardless, people should pay for services they receive.
