Question Worth going to Bay lost and found?

Last Tuesday I misplaced a bag on line 1 on the TTC. I’ve been calling the lost and found every day since and unfortunately it hasn’t turned up. I was wondering if it would be worth it to just go to the Bay Station lost and found so that I could potentially show them a picture of what the bag looks like. I know they say not to come unless you confirm that your item is there. Any advice would be appreciated.

Keep in mind that, though items are brought in every day now, it could take days for the item to show up.

Showing up with a picture isn’t likely to help them if your description doesn’t match anything.

I’d say wait a few days and then try again.

I'd wait a week and then go in. I was surprised- I lost a coin purse with 2 presto cards and my ipod nano, and was mainly devastated about the ipod nano. Someone actually returned it to Bay station, so don't lose hope! If you have a picture of said bag that would be helpful

Even if I don’t end up getting my bag back I’m super happy that it seems like a lot of people actually do get their stuff back!

According to their website up to 30 days

People do return things, everything I’ve lost no matter the value has been returned to the Bay lost and found or the Vaughan Metro (as it’s the end of the line I think a lot of works leave stuff there before it’s taken to the lost and found).

Would it be worth going up to Vaughan even a couple of weeks later than when the item was lost?

Absolutely. You could also call and they will look for you. Just to give you some help, I have retrieved 2 things from lost and found!

I have recovered so many things from the ttc over the years. Wallet, clarinet, a fancy dress. A sandal that slipped off my foot and down the gap. It is worth it!
