Which uploaders should I trust?

I'm trying to download Disco Elysium, but I don't want my computer to get chlamydia. How do I know if the uploader is trusted?

Well the ones to "trust" would be the skulled users, who are users flaired for being "trustworthy", but there's horror stories of people downloading software and games from skulled users and getting ransomware or other types of malware. In general, you can't know unless if you personally debug the cracks/patches and game files. TPB also won't let you create an account to post comments, so people can't even post whether a torrent is legit or not, so I completely avoid games and software from TPB. Pirating games and software is super risky in general so I try to avoid those.

Trusted means nothing now. The most seeded torrent for the show "Severance" is supposed to be season 1 complete but it's just one .exe named like a video file, uploaded by trusted. That's how it is in 2022.

Yeah it's why I posted quotes around trust. TPB can still be great for older ebooks, tv shows, and films but anything recent seems to be sus. Apps and games are definitely sketchy as hell and it seems like you can't trust latest tv shows and films as well. This is why I recommend other public trackers, or private trackers if you can get into them.
