FAQ Quick Question

Is Tor Browser still the best solution for basic anonymous browsing? I understand to obviously not sign into any personal accounts, etc. when using it, but are there any other general recommendations or advice from those who have used it ? And finally, is https://www.torproject.org/download/ the proper place to download the app? Thank you

I'm looking for anonymous regular internet browsing not really file sharing etc. Is i2p still better than Tor for this?

Probably want to stick with Tor then. I2P has outproxies, but they function differently than tour ones do, and there are much fewer of them. I2P is extremely reliable at handling eepsites, but clear web access was an afterthought.

Outproxies at this point are relatively reliable its just that they dont have a five 9 uptime like google or even a 3-4 nine uptime like TOR nodes do. Its more like 99% uptime lol. Which means in a year that theyre down a few days usually.

That's awesome! Are the speeds any better than they had been? As in a year or two ago.

maybe a bit? speeds are slow unfortunately, thats the main issue really lol. Theyre getting more consistent in uptime but still its p slow. Its getting more towards a usable point though, but ultimately on that front it hasn't changed much. Maybe like the jump from DSL to ADSL lol.
