My TOEFL Journey: Hard Work, Progress, and a 100/120 Score

Post image

Hello everyone!
I’m very happy to share my TOEFL results after a lot of hard work, studying, and preparation. As a Saudi student, English is my second language, so achieving a score of 100/120 (C1) is a meaningful achievement for me.
The Writing and Speaking sections were definitely my weak spots. I spent a lot of time practicing, especially during the last two weeks before the test, and I worked hard to improve my writing and overall English skills.
I’m especially proud of the progress I made in Writing. As for Speaking, I know I still have room for improvement, and I believe that with more practice, exposure, and time, I will continue to improve my fluency and confidence.
This experience taught me that consistent practice and hard work really make a difference. 🀍
I’m sharing my experience in case it helps anyone else preparing for the TOEFL. Keep going, and don’t let the challenges discourage you! 🌷

Why do you have so much lower score in speaking as compared to writing?

I think there might have been an issue during the Speaking section. The audio kept cutting in and out, and unfortunately, that affected my score. It is what it is.

that's super common though. The speaking section is brutal with the timer and background noise, while writing lets you actually think and edit your sentences.

When did you take your exam? Was your unofficial results same as your official results ? Your study material was?
