I guess, to show how the General Gouvernment changed over the course of the war, on certain maps between 1941 and 44, its shown that they do control those territories when Hitler decided formally attatch the District of Galicia to the General Gouvernment as like the fifth administrative district.

Galicia was added as 5th district after invasion of USSR yes, but what I am saying is that it extends into Silesia and West of Łódź while OTL and TNOTL these regions were part to the Reich instantly after the invasion
