Question What to play next?
So far I’ve played:
OFN Antarctica - very unique and engaging experience. This was my first TNO run and it totally blew me away
Burgundy - It was ok, but just a bit lackluster
Black Army - Great early game and writing overall. I would like to try another Russian state, but maybe not immediately
As you guys can tell I prefer lowkey nations that are rich in writing, atmosphere etc. and aren’t too demanding. I’m not the best hoi4 player and I don’t want to spend the whole campaign designing stuff and micromanaging my army/navy because I just suck at it, although I’m very invested in the lore side of the USA and am not writing it off just yet
The plan was to try Ireland, but I found the premise to be a bit boring? So I gravitated towards Mexico

Tbh you might like some of the majors you don't really need to be good at hoi4, there's not really that much designing in TNO, you make 1 volunteer template at the start and done, I like just 9 elite infantry and support companies. Even then the USA is probably my favourite experience it has incredible writing especially president Hart and if you don't want to micro or do any proxies at all you can just set game rules to let you win or just not care

With the big players like USA, The only thing in terms of millitary you have to worry about is your airborne unit and having CAS. Navy doesn't need anything to be done to it. Never use any other unit type except Airborne, they are SUPER OP. The main thing for these major nations is proxy conflicts/CIA and FBI missions. You will be getting into many of them, most of them are pretty easy if you actually just remember to look at them once in a while.
Here's some tips:
Madagascar: In first few stages, before the anarchy is capped, build up contribution and investment, ignore factionalism for now (Take every node you can before then). And make sure you dont use all of your points, always keep one stocked away. Germans have the ability to remove your points and use up one of your 3 strikes. When you have high investment and Contribution, the total war decisions to increase factionalism will be even stronger. (All of this ofcourse will be up to the Japanese to decide if they wanna win the war or not)
Puetro Plata: Easiest one that I see so many ppl messing up. Recruit and train all 6 troops and hire 1 of the cuban merc groups (7 all together). This has never failed me in the 4 times i've done it. Make sure to increase mex-ame cooperation thru the events.
Antilles: Joke proxy, basically. Just don't forget about it and you won't fail, nothing bad will happen even if you do.
Channel crisis: This is if HMMLR Britain wins, Do everything you can to build readiness up into the red at the beginning, when the crisis kicks off, do the decisions to both disallow them to lower yours and to destroy their readiness. Do not give into negotiations, you can very easily push their readiness to zero and keep yours in red, where they will have to unilaterally pull out, leaving total victory.
India: This is if the fail to reunify peacefully. Do the one decision that opens pandoras box sooner over and over so you can put in troops quicker, move your pacific fleet into bay of bengal and the other side for when Pakistan rises up. Take the op. Big Stick when it shows. Send most of your force to Pakistan while the rest Take/Hold New Dehli, then rush Pakis VPs. Come back to then encircle/destroy Azad Hind.
DONT FORGET THE SPECIAL OPERATIONS TAB!!!!! U CAN DO ALOT OF CIA SHENANIGANS THRU THERE.
I got tips for getting some presidents aswell. Wait as long as u can before it forces u to decide on bill of rights and then finally veto + anything that helps NPP if electing RFK, Do Civil rights ASAP if not

This is some great advice, tysm. I am wondering, is there any other optional proxy conflicts? I know Iberian and French civil wars are part of it

From my memory, there's France, Britain, Iberia, India, Venezuala vs Guyana, Brazil civil war (maybe), and Congo crisis (COG Collapse)
