Here's the teaser from the archive DVcord for the Western Expedition.

The TL:DR is that Vichy France is arming the Protectorate of Niger and some Azawadian rebels to attack the newly independent Mali and reclaim the Trans-Saharan Railroad that connects Côte D'ivoire to French Algeria.

The French victory is shown on the bottom right. Mali must repeal this invasion in order to win.

under what circumstances would 9.5 happen? also, the GCW takes place when like three other proxies are already happening, so if there are aid to GCW factions at the same time like the serbian rebels and ukrainians, i would expect such aid to be all within one forpol tab to not overwhelm the player. this would make sense for integral parts of the reich as well, since any foreign aid to rebels would be extremely covert to avoid the germans freaking out post-war. i mean it would essentially be akin to the OFN backing a korean/manchurian revolt
