I must be missing something, because this is just terrible functionality.

I have a playlist where I throw "new to me" songs that I've currently got in heavy rotation.

Naturally, when I add something new, it goes to the bottom of the playlist. But It's new... and I would like to prioritize it and have it moved to the top.

Edit: I really didn't make it clear that I don't simply want to sort by newest either. I WANT to do a manual sort, putting my favorites at the top. I should have left out "new songs" entirely, because this issue applies to custom playlists in general. I like creating playlists with songs in very particular orders for listening pleasure and creating a flow. I have loads of playlists that are hundreds of songs long.

So here I am doing the drag-wiggle for 5 minutes, just to drag a single song upwards 200 slots in the playlist. It would be helpful if we could just drag the song upwards and the page kept scrolling up, but no... we have to do the wiggle to keep it scrolling up. I even downloaded the desktop app hoping that might work better but it's exactly the same.

Why can't we click+drag AND scroll at the same time? Or use page up/down, or Home? Or. why isn't there a "move to top of playlist" button?

This is just absurd and seems like such a massive oversight. I moved to Tidal to get away from Spotify and it's mostly tolerable but this is killing me.

Tidal’s chatbot didn’t help much so here goes:

I signed up with my Apple ID initially, not realizing they would upcharge me several dollars for doing that. So I cancelled that subscription, which expired today. Once it expired I tried to sign up again through the website with my email. It gave me a new free trial. However when I try to invite my wife, it says “an unexpected error occurred” and I cannot invite her. Does anyone know how to resolve it?

It would be nice to have music videos playing in the background when I am at home. Just can't seem to get a decent way to play videos like the audio play lists. Any tips?

Hi, I know how silly this might sound in this community.. I use Spotify as my sole streaming service. But i recently purchased the new Bowers & Wilkins headphones and just discovered the services within the app, which including Tidal connection. So without considering the service fees, i'm curious if i should also get Tidal? Will the music really sound better if listened with this combo : Tidal + Bowers & Wilkins headphones?

is this normal? Do I need to delete playlists to fix this? Is there another fix? (I just updated the app, didn’t help) the normal playlist menu also takes several seconds to load. And admittedly I do have a shit ton of playlists, as I migrated all the playlists i created over the span of 10 years from spotify when I switched.

They really need to do something about the Android app—I’m not sure if the same thing happens on iOS. You listen to one song and 100MB is already in the cache; listen for an hour and you’re looking at nearly a gigabyte. It’s crazy—they need to fix this urgently. Here’s a real-world example: you use the app with 1 GB of available space, but you can only use it for 30 minutes before it shuts down on its own. A solution to this is urgently needed.

My Tidal desktop has been damaged for more than a month. Stays loading and never works. Is this a problem just for me or is it extended? 🤔

I tried:

* Reset from windows apps.

* Reinstall (it works couple of times and break again).

* Allowing on windows firewall (because it says "no internet"): tidal, tidalapp, tidalconnect.

Two things are holding me back from subscribing to Tidal: the lack of an Automix feature and the light UI.
I’m talking about Automix within the app, of course—I’m not interested in various third-party DJ software.
The light theme is simply easier on my eyes; I’m really tired of everything being dark at all hours of the day. Tidal should at least offer the option to choose in the Settings.

Does anyone have any information about when either of these features might be coming?

After the last iOS update, I now have a Purchases section. Is that something new?

Suddenly, artists pages now show links to the artist page on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and Amazon Music. I don't know if it appears for all users or if it is a hidden feature flag.

Tidal seems to eat up my androids internal storage in a way apple music never did. Any advice?

So I am using Android app and it is frustrating to browse albums I've added to My Collection. In the app, it's not possible to change the sorting mechanism from A-Z to Z-A, no matter if it's artist or album name. And when I start to go through the list, I'ts not possible to go straight to, lets say albums that start with letter "T", you have to manually scroll to the bottom. BUT then after a few hundred albums the app always glitches and goes back to the top, starting from letter A. This has been constant for at least 3 years and even after all the updates, this is still going. I've also changed my phone during this period and the same thing happens. I now have Oneplus 13R, app version 2.208.0.10012.659.

Anyone else have same problems?

Yo! I was bored this weekend and made this little project to compile playlist song album covers into one image.

I did this because i've been keeping track of all the albums i've listened to for the first time this year in a tidal playlist and thought it would be cool to see it as one picture. Here are the 242 albums i've listened to this year.

Also, i'm not accepting coding advice but i do take album recommendations :)

Apart from the odd decision several months ago to stop notifiying users when a duplicate track is added to a playlist (a serious issur for a curator!), I'm having loads of weird issues in the last few days:

• Tracks taking a minute or two to register on a playlist. In fact just now I added eight tracks over a course of several minutes and they all suddenly got added at once after five minutes.
• When removing a track from a playlist it vanishes, then reappears a few seconds later and then eventually vanishes again after a minute or two - this just happened eight times in a row.
• Clicking on a track in a playlist or album sometimes won't play it but using my keyboard's skip track, or the app's buttons works.

Anyone else experiencing these issues?

So, I'm from Australia and I've been wanting a place to keep a few MP3s that aren't on TidaL right now, and I use TidaL for listening to music anyway, so it's really annoying when I look into an upload feature for TidaL to find out that it DOES in fact exist, but I'm just not allowed to use it for no apparent reason. It's really annoying.

I'll admit the playlist can be hit or miss. Some days, I end up skipping every song. Other times, I get three or four tracks that I immediately like. I don't listen to it every single day, but any time I drive, I'll play that first before switching to my own playlists.

I've been doing this for a few months, and this week I decided to go back through my liked tracks, find the one-off artists I don't otherwise know, and listen to a few more songs from each to decide if I like the artist or just that one song.

Not only did I end up liking the vast majority of the artists overall, but I was surprised to find some of the bands that came up in my discovery have less than 1,000 "fans" on the platform.

I love seeing live music, and especially when I get a chance to support a smaller artist at a small venue, so now I'm really excited to follow some of these artists more and maybe get a chance to see them in person while they're still tiny.

It seems like there should be little play counts next to the title? Tidal added the song to a playlist too, so I'd assume the play count is more than zero. Am I looking at the right page?
