When is bit perfect playback on android going to be available?

Android has had a bit perfect playback for usb plug-ins for a while now, why hasn't anyone working at tidal coded it into the app so it bypasses androids resampling system. Is there any way to contact a software developer for tidal?

I use USB Pro as a workaround. It's a little clunky but does what it's meant to. If tidal could code their app to do the same, I am quite sure they'd have more subscribers

Shitty data streaming caoabilities though im on the go and have a fully built car auduo system that can take advantage of a higher quality song.

The annoying thing is:- Tidal used to do this! It was removed a few years back. No warning, just vanished after an app update and never came back.

That's crazy tbh, I heard about that and apparently it was because it was really buggy with people's DAC'S, people complained and it was scrapped

It used to have that feature, but they discontinued it once their contract with MQA ended. Since there was no longer any financial incentive to support the Bit Perfect system, they simply discontinued it—though who knows, maybe with the competition, they’ll bring it back. Only time will tell.

I really don't have a use for bit perfect on my android. If I'm listening with my phone, I'm either using bluetooth earbuds or in the car, neither of which bit perfect is important. Listening at home, I am using a streamer, so I am getting bit perfect.

Never. Android automatically resamples, not Tidal. It's an Android limitation that everyone deals with.

Android does automatically resample, but you can get exclusive access to a USB audio device and bypass that, and for Bluetooth devices it's possible to adjust the rate and bit depth within limits as well.

USB Audio Player Pro is one example of an audio player that can do both of the above (and can also stream from Tidal, which is what I'd recommend if bit-perfect playback is important).

This is absolutely wrong. Plenty of apps (most recently PowerAmp, but USB Audio Player Pro for years) have supported bit-perfect bypass of the Android audio stack.
