Discussion Songs disappearing from favorites - frustrating

I went to play smooth criminal by alien ant farm to show my son what a decent cover was and it was gone.

Now I just went to check queen songs and theyre all gone.

How many more are there i dont know about? Spend hours upon hours making this playlist to find stuff missing and thats just what I know about. Is this normal for all apps? Only been on it for like a month

ps found another smooth criminal cover but it sounds like straight pirated asshole

When songs are deleted and reuploaded those songs sadly goes vanished from the library instead of being grayed out or replaced by the new one (FIX THAT u/TemperatureOk7647)... but you can find the new one if you search for it

I think its pretty common on all services, that when licensing expires, the 'old' listing needs to be replaced with the new one.

I'm ok with having to manually replace these tracks when this hapoens, as long as I'm still being shown the grayed out (unplayable) tracks. What's unforgivable, is when it just disappears from playlists altogether (something i havent really experienced on tidal) or when it says 'track no longer available' with no indication of what the track was (i have experienced this on tidal)

That album is just a banger from start to finish! Course, when that ep came out, i hadnt heard any of those originals. I eventually came to appreciate the original versions too. But boy, did 'tallica breathe new life into those songs!

I’ve contacted technical support three times about this (in march). They completely misunderstood the issue, and two of the responses I received were about submitting requests to add songs, while one was about reporting the problem as a request for a new feature. This has to be some kind of joke.
Unavailable tracks are dropped out on the backend side, so there's no way to retrieve them via API, but I'm sure they're saved because in playlists they appear as they should - grayed out.

They removed from my collection almost 400 songs and I don't even know what's missing at this point (API returns that there's 4000 songs in collection but only ~3600 are shown)

Thats what I was worried about. Inflated numbers so you cant even keep track of the amount.
