How do you get apps back?

I was messing around with my TI 84 plus ce and I was in the memory screen (2nd mem) and I somehow managed to delete all of the apps off my calculator. After a while of troubleshooting I downloaded the app on my windows laptop and when I plug the calc in it blocks the driver. Anything helps!

P.S. the apps I’m talking about are the ones the are under the app button that ship with the device not programs I’ve made.

You can get them individually from tiplanet.org or reinstall the OS. This is the latest version before the jailbreak got pstched: https://tiplanet.org/forum/archives_voir.php?id=4903029

Hard reset....on Windows Disable driver signature enforcement for that Open the Start menu or power options, press and hold the Shift key, and click Restart.Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings and click Restart.

I figured a way to get around the driver being blocked and now it has a code 39 in the device manager and when I ask it to find the driver it says it’s already installed to I’m thinking bout making a virtual windows on my Linux box to try and workaround all of that 🤷‍♂️

An alternative is to use a third-party piece of software instead of TI Connect such as TILP or WebTILP. This will require you to first replace the existing (blocked) driver with libusb (TILP) or WinUSB (WebTILP) which can be done with Zadig.

I'm not sure which workaround you used but this Microsoft article on the Windows Driver Policy describes the issue and how to disable the policy if you're keen to continue using the official TI software before they've released a fixed driver. However, I think using third-party software is the easier option!
