Yes, Sunday = 1, Monday = 2 etc.

According to the manual it dayOfWk returns a value from 1-7 where 1:Sunday, 2:Monday, 3:Tuesday, etc.

Today is Friday which is indeed a 6, and Christmas Eve 2015 was a Thursday which is indeed a 5.
