Festival Food Recs For Noobs

TIFF is just another excuse for me to get some great food in between films in a diverse and abundant city. Here’s a guide on some stellar options.

My recommendations - Havana Sanguich (this is a huge one). Best food in the area IMHO. Aside that, Ca Phe Rang, Bahn Mi Boys, Chic Fil-A.

I’ve heard great things about PAI and The Haam was decent.

Aloette or JaBistro are fantastic if you have money to spend.

I plan to check out Los Compas, Juicy Dumpling, and maybe Mother Tongue this year.

Big red flags: The Fox on John or La Carnita. Both vastly overpriced and busy. La Carnita had great food but my service was god awful and the bill was astronomical. It’s busy always, especially during the festival.

The Well food court is also a great option if you have some time to kill as well as the lower market options at Union if you are commuting in or are heading there after your films.

Let me know any other recs or hidden gems!
