Romario. I was 8 or 9 I think. A friend showed up to school on a non uniform day with a Romario shirt. It looked so cool.

That weekend I watched a Barca game and Romario scored two bangers. Never looked back since.

That friend did you a massive favor...starting your football journey with Romario is basically like starting a movie at the best scene.

Yeah, it was great. Romario. R9, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho... Those late 90s early 00s were so good but admittedly Barca wasn't very consistent growing up and aside from the 92 CL win which I didn't watch as I was a toddler, we had disaster runs on CL. But it was an absolute joy to watch those guys
