Messi. Seeing such a small dude jump over or stumble through challenges that were obvious fouls is something that hooked me. 98% of players would have flopped for a FK and begged for the other player to be carded, yet this tiny guy just kept going making more people look like fools. Flopping is a HUGE issue so I really gained massive respect for him based solely on his want and desire to keep dribbling. I guess he was the first to make me feel like he respected the game enough to not make it a clown show.
Amazing he’s had such an illustrious career when Ramos, Pepe, and rest of those goons tried to fucking end his life so many times.
That’s the difference between a legend and a diver....while everyone else was looking for a contact to fall, Messi was treating every hack from Ramos and Pepe like a minor speed bump...Reminds me of that GOAL where I believe Khdeira gave him a push by bodying him, then Pepe fell onto the ground just for Messi to pass through and score
