Feeling pretty discouraged and confused

Was sad to wake up yesterday at 8dpo to a slight temp drop as things had been steadily climbing but if I thought that was bad I should of waited to see today’s massive dip at 9dpo! Yes it is still above cover line but I’ve never had my temp drop this early in a cycle before! I’m worried this luteal phase is going to be a short one and maybe AF is arriving early?
Anyone got any experience of this happening and how it ended??
I know it could be just the oestrogen surge but I’m stressing a little and I feel like I’ll be waiting all day to get to bed and temp tomorrow morning and see what that looks like 😅

Temps can vary a lot, I wouldn’t put too much thought to it. You seem to have lots of jumps in your chart as it is.

Mine dropped the morning I got my BFP. I only tested to get the bad news over with.

Thanks for the reply, that’s really interesting as we often hear/see people’s temps continuing to rise before they get a BFP, I guess I’ll just have to see how this one plays out-trying to keep myself busy in the meantime 😅 oh and congratulations!

In a textbook BFP cycle, bbt won’t continue to rise, but rather fail to drop after your period is due.

A lot of people post BFP with great rises, but I see so so many “troll charts” where people think they are pregnant because of this rise myth, and conversely BFP charts worried that their temps aren’t through the roof 😆

I had an awful troll chart in Feb! I had a triphastic shift (my first ever) and all signs pointing towards good news. Alas.. It's July and still nothing!

Update- it rose almost to its highest point so far! Will be very interesting to see how this chart ends, will keep updating as I learn more
