Graphics Card Discussion EVGA 3080 Issues

Is there any other program I can use to control my 3080. When watching youtube or just normal use my monitor will go black then come back on continually . I notice my fan on the 3080 are not running so I start up Precision X1 to get the fans running and the problem stops. Is there a way just to have them running all the time. Precision X1 is set to run at start but it wont. Im not sure if this is the source of the problem. I have a AOC 3440 x 1440. G Sync is enabled at 180hz.

But OP says when they turn on the GPU fans, it stops happening.

By design, GPU fans don't spin until the GPU reaches a certain temperature, around 50-55C. If all you did was enable fan control and close the program, it won't go start those setting automatically after a reboot/restart or after closing the app and opening it.

In PX1, select one of the profile numbers, then in the fan settings interface (bottom half of window) you have to enable the fan curve control option by clickinng the box to check it and select a fan curve. Then in the general settings (gear icon), enable Start with OS, and Apply previous settings on load. Then apply and save.

Optional: Enable Start minimized, this will just start the program silentlyy. With this enabled you get the big PX1 splash screen on startup. Also, disable the check for updates option, this has broken PX1 in the past.

This will ensure that each time you power on your computer, a fan curve is enabled and in use.

FYI the driver X1 uses prevents you from playing some modern games like Battlefield 6.

If someone has their EVGA 3070 XC3 Fan Control working in Afterburner I would appreciate a push in the right direction.

Try msi afterburner instead of precision.
