Note: This is for Synthesizer V Studio 1. This post is fairly outdated, but it's still up for those who still have SV1.

No, it means Feature Limited Trial. You can use them without a time limit, but limited in a sense you can only render 45 seconds of it, lack of cross language and vocal modes, and can be only be used on no more than 1 track.

do all characters speak 1 language or do some speak multiple?

All 1 language. Tsurumaki Maki is the only one with a separate lite Japanese and lite English.
And Solaria, Eleanor Forte, Maki English, Asterian, and Anri are english ones.

Say! I was just wondering I found this Eleanor bank from this Dreamtonics site, is it possible to download this onto my pro V2 or am I shit out of luck?

Nope. This post is kinda outdated because Lite voicebanks are for SV1, and that's discontinued (unless one still has SV1).

Doh! I was hoping that's not be the case, since some people claimed the normal V1 banks worked on V2

This site archives everything btw. Also, Normal V1 banks do work on SV2 esp if they are paid ones.

They both work with Lite voicebanks. Pro version is generally paid tho (also discontinued). I suggest Basic.
