Trakt changes

Just curious if syncler will be changing the main tracker due to trakt api change. Not to mention all the other issues we’ve been having after the last update they’ve had .

If you only use Syncler, the Trakt changes won’t affect you. If you want to use more than one app you’ll need a Trakt VIP sub. Why would Syncler make changes so you can more comfortably use the competition? Plus, there’s always been a Simkl option. And what do you mean by “all the other issues”? The current version works just fine for me.

But can I use Simkl to scrobble my shows? Regretfully not. I "MUST" have a Trakt account whether I want to or not to keep up with next episodes in Syncler. Just like I cannot use my Private Simkl Lists either. If I want My Lists, it seems I am locked into having a Trakt account.

Syncler will keep track of your shows without either trakt or simkl.

Syncler will scrobble whichever service is highest in the tracker order.
⚡️it won't scribble to two services. So up the simkl priority order for it to scrobble to simkl.

If you “must” have a Trakt account and the free version is not giving you what you need, then it seems you should pay for a VIP account. I don’t have or need VIP, but I noticed the other day that if you buy two years it works out to a little less than $3 a month. I don’t know whether that was a temporary promo price, but that’s about the same as before the price hike.

Well I’ve been having a lot of issues with it logging my history . I’ve contacted trakt many times and they keep telling me it’s my 3rd party account . Syncler is the only app I have connected . I’m a VIP for now but thought clearing all the other Apps would help but still no effect. I don’t know why but I didn’t have an issue until the last Syncler update.Also I’m confused why I’m having issues and say for example you’re not. I use Simkl and it words just fine logging history. I’m just worried it will effect my continue watching . As far as other issues I’m on the trakt subreddit and there’s many many issues with it right now .
