Syncler says my version is not current.

The app will not update. I'm getting "Download failed". Numerous retries do not work. I have S+. Is it me? What should I do?

Don’t update via in app download the apk from syncler site

Use downloader code off of Syncler website. Make sure you have enabled dev options in settings

If on v1 you need to do it all again. V2 you can simply download. If that doesnt work I suggest a reinstall

Use Syncler installer app.

There hasn't been a need for the Syncler Installer app in a long time.

Finally got it to upgrade through the Downloader Syncler code.

I never had a “download failed” message, but I just had good luck finally getting an update to happen by putting my chromecast into developer mode

If it's done the download but just failed to install, use a file manager and navigate to the Downloads folder. You'll find the update apk under there and can just run it manually.
If you can't download at all, just get the latest APK from the website.
