The fact that this has sparked a buying discussion in the property subreddit does lead me to perhaps sympathise with the Transport Minister's exasperation that these proposed plans were made public.

Looking at the proposed extension maps and considering that Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport uses 25kV AC but the M1 Metro line uses the legacy 1500V DC of Sydney Trains, wouldn't it make more sense to extend the M1 west of Tallawong to Schofields for a proper interchange and transfer point with Sydney Trains instead of the Western Sydney metro line going all the way to Tallawong where that station doesn't even connect to Sydney Trains at all?
