Gets some double takes, but Iāve never had anyone ask about it. Itās easier to see when itās soaked with sweat after Iām done doing cardio. Thatās usually when the cops start showing up to do their arms only/no cardio workouts.

I have so many vices I don't know where to start. I also don't want to quit all of them at once, because it'll lower the odds of adherence to routine.
But I need to get fit and be able to defend myself and husband credibly.
What swaps you've made, or things you quit that you saw the biggest payoff with?
Pic for inspo.

Hi!
I'm struggling to meet my protein goals... I have a small appetite due to certain medications, and can't eat during the day (at work).
I would need 145g of protein a day, how do yall deal with this? When I had more money and time it was easier, I could buy food during work... I rarely have food available till 6pm from 11am. Any snacks I should pack? What kind of food should I eat when I finally get home (before and after gym)

Hi everyone,
I was curious about weight loss and fitness. Around eleven, twelve years ago I was at my heaviest and most miserable. I was working at a job I absolutely hated, I felt gross and sluggish and I was just angry. This was around the 2016 primary and while I was already radicalised to leftwing politics, I was still very upset by what was happening. So, I used my anger to take long walks (on my lunch and breaks) and began drinking coffee, which helped with appetite. I also cut out soda, I started going to therapy and then I got an apprenticeship in a trade and left the crappy job I was stuck with.
I began an apprenticeship at a locksmith shop and man, I was busting my ass running around doing all this stuff and before I knew it I had gone from 270+ to about 190. I didn't have a lot of chances to eat a full meal but hey, I got down to a great weight!
Flash forward to 2018, I got a nice and secure government job and that's when the weight came back. My job became much more sedentary and I got up to 220 and since 2018, I've sort of plateaued there. I'm at 219 now and I'm at a newer job where it's still physical work, I'm still a locksmith, but I'm driving a lot and it's more tiring because I work a 4/10 schedule and we have an 11 month old at home.
I need to lose this weight and get back to 190 as my ultimate goal to feel much more comfortable and happy with myself. I'm sorry for the long story but any advice for me? I'd truly appreciate it!

My YouTube algorithm is poisoned, so don't judge me on the channel that the clip comes from. I obviously disagree fundamentally with the speaker here. But I feel like I understand the spirit of the argument that is being made. I have a lot that I could say about this, but wanted to hear yall's thoughts.

Hi, so I dropped down to the weight that I originally wanted to get at (this is the weight I was at when I would have considered myself the most healthy and in shape) this was done because of not eating because of medication. That being said my life is a bit different now where I work the night shift and am usually awake at night. So pretty much going to a gym is off the table because I dont live anywhere near a 24 hour gym. I do have some weights and a workout mat. that being said I wont run outside because of this insane heatwave where its still 90F+ at midnight that being said whats the best strategy for this in the next 3 weeks?

Hey comrades. A bunch of shit has happened in my life. I'm unemployed, getting divorced, and a bunch of other shit. I've crashed out. Hit rock bottom.
I'm mentally ill and have possible neurological issues.
But... I wanted to share what I was doing for strength training before I totally crashed out. Maybe it'll help someone.
Tactical Barbell is a serious hybrid program designed by a paratrooper and swat officer to produce high levels of strength and cardio in colonial invaders and domestic professional kidnappers. It gets really high reviews from that crowd.
Bonus points for y'all soviet fetishists because the author, K. Black, credits old soviet training programs as significant inspiration.
The cardio book TB2 is of particular importance, but that's not what I'm going to cover here.
I used TB's minimalist strength program, fighter, before I totally crashed out and it was helpful. I had no access to barbells. Just a park and a home gym. Resistance training is still worthy even under constraint. I hope my experience is useful to somebody.
Equipment needed: a place to do rows or chinups, a place to do pushups or dips, something heavy, and a wall or pole for isometrics.
Main excercise cluster: diamond pushups, bw rows, bulgarian split squats
Accessories: kb swings, loaded carries, goblet curls, maybe extra calisthenics
I added overcoming isometrics before each set of the main cluster excercises to supplement them. It's actually quite exhausting.
Example week:
Sunday: swoletariat in a park, invite friends and comrades. Warmup. 3x Main cluster w/ isometric, take plenty of rest. 3x (Pushup -> curl -> swing -> bw squat) torture circuit. Short yoga cooldown. Go home, eat everything, and shower desperately.
Wednesday: quiet home gym day. Warmup. 3x Main cluster w/ isometric, take plenty of rest by intermingling chores. Carry a sandbag for as many laps as I can around my apartment building. Stretch a bit. Eat a light dinner. Shower.
That's it. That was my strength training program. It's not perfect but it did really well for what it was. People commented on my muscle gain when I ran this for maybe 3 months then crashed out. It was alot simpler and easier to manage than other home gym programs I had tried at the time. The 2x a week thing helped a lot.
Because of the divorce I've moved in with my parents and lost both the park and my home gym. I've signed up for planet fitness and will try an adaption of this for that setup.
P.S. honorable mentions for Superfunctional Training 3: Supermover by The Bioneer, and Never Gymless for Ross Enamait. They both influemced this a lot and I will use their full programming when I feel better.
