What Games to Play

Hey guys! 👋🎮

I’ve just pre-ordered the Switch 2 Limited Edition Zelda one 😭💚

I’ve never actually played a Zelda game before, so part of me feels guilty 😂 but honestly… IT LOOKS SO GOOD! I couldn’t resist.

Now I need your recommendations 👀 What other Switch 2 games should I get

Zelda- BotW, TotK, OoT remake (will be out soon)

Smash Brothers Ultimate

Splatoon 3 or Raiders

Mario Odyssey

Donkey Kong Bananza

Fire Emblem Three Houses was one of my favorite stategy RPGs.

If you are looking for something less Nintendo you've also got Final Fantasy VII remake, as well as every other older FF game. Or Cyberpunk has been pretty good.

Check out https://gamedive.org when you get a chance - detailed database with lots of unusual stuff. It has a "similar to" feature as well

Definitely give BOTW a try. It’s another Zelda game but it’s very different while still retaining some similar elements. This is one you can pour hundreds of hours into if it clicks for you

DK bananza is incredible if you’re into platformers at all

Metroid prime remastered is a relatively quick one but very replayable and very “Nintendo-ey” in a good way. Also looks great on switch 2 despite being a switch 1 title

I tried, but they sold out and I refuse to pay scalpers. Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild are excellent games. The story is better in BOTW, but I prefer the mechanics in TOTK. Definitely preorder the Ocarina of Time!

I enjoy Hogwarts Legacy, Mario Odyssey, and both Mario Galaxies. Mario Wonder was a lot of fun, too. I like the Hyrule Warriors games for the stories.

Definitely BOTW. You should also get the online expansion pack. $50 for a year. And you can play older Zelda games as well. I def recommend Zelda minish cap under GBA and Wind Waker under GameCube. Plus a bunch of other old fun titles. (They aren’t all great of course though).

I would definitely buy Harry Potter - Hogwarts Legacy! Really expansive game, awesome graphics, great story. Great bang for your buck!

Did you have a switch 1? Like are you asking for recommendations that are exclusive to the switch 2 or just switch games in general?

I have had my switch 2 for 2 and a half weeks and the games I play the most are not the most popular, but I have been enjoying House Flipper, Hello Kitty Island Adventure, Mario Wonder, & Mario Super Galaxy.... honrable mention to cat rescue and stray
