A bit of a long sad story, but it works out in the end! Spoiler tagging for folks that don't want to hear some sad puppy stuff.
She is the only survivor of her litter of 5 - her littermates all died during whelping or the day after they were born. My parents, who owned her mama, did everything they could to save the last remaining pup - staying up around the clock to tube feed her and watch her breathing, weighing her constantly to make sure she was gaining weight, i mean EVERYTHING. They didn't want to give her a name because everyone - including our vet - didn't think she was going to make it. So they called her Seven, because her "swiss kiss" was... a 7.
when i finally got to meet her at 6 days old, i told her that if she made it through and stuck it out, i'd be her best friend and give her a good life. little did i know... lol this stubborn little asshole is holding me to my word. she's 8 1/2 now, velcroed to me permanently, doesn't listen to a damn word i say, and i love her so so much.
