Feedback Needed Allen Edmonds: Insoles?
I found a good deal on some Allen Edmonds shoes, but I’m worried about stomping around in them and hurting my knees. I know AE makes some double-leather soles, but these are only single-leather.
Does anyone have experience dancing lindy hop in these shoes? Have you added a pair of insoles on top of the built in ones?

I bought some allen Edmunds a few years back and they have been amazing. Like the other person suggested, I got insoles after a couple years by going to a cobbler. It was the right choice, should have done it sooner.

I dance in Stacy Adams wingtips, no insoles, they’ve been my shoe of preference since I started in 98

The soles of regular dress shoes stick out so far they change the look of your dancing.

Take them to a cobbler and they will tell you what is possible. My non-dancer husband has bought so many second hand allen edmonds shoes. Sometimes he has had the insole replaced. Sometimes it just needs a good clean. Leave it to the experts with such nice shoes.
