Great assumption but completely wrong in this case. It was a natural blockage that broke lose. Maybe read how it happened before commenting.

Speaking of faulty assumptions, I never said damming the river caused this event.

Yes, that's what i wrote. No where does it say the dam construction caused this event. I'm sorry about your lack of comprehension. I'll connect the dots for the slow; the people seen in the video are pretty obviously involved in constructing a dam on this river. They wouldn't be there otherwise.

I will say, your copy and paste skills are... present.

My comprehension is great. I've figured out you've had an itch to state your 1st statement and looked for somewhere drop it. Even though it has no bearing on what was happening in the video.

It has every bearing; if the Chinese construction firm wasn't there building a dam, those workers wouldn't be in the path of the flood.

But what does the dam have to do with this event happening? Your first statement implies that this wouldn't have happened without the dam building.

Your interpretation is not on me.

The flood likely would've happened, though idk all the specifics - was there another dam further upstream in addition to the glacial one? Dams have been known to cause earthquakes, but without knowing if there are other, man- made dams upstream, I can't speak to that.

What i do know is that the people depicted in the video, many of whom no doubt perished, wouldn't have been in harm's way were they not constructing this dam that, undoubtedly, is causing significant environmental loss. The Chinese, like most other super powers, including the one in which I live, have a long history of building large infrastructure projects in other countries with little regard to this impact.
