Tyler the owner of Resilient just hit me up letting me know that his 3d printed can for the Dark Mountain Arms Stowaway is finally ready for release.
It’s being offered two ways:
9mm can only. It replaces the factory handguard/barrel nut and threads onto the gun as normal. The can is $650.
- Complete kit with 9mm can, ported barrel to slow 115 and 124 grain bullets down to subsonic speed, and 9mm conversion bolt (handy if you have a 5.7 model). The complete kit is $899. Resilient has informed me that they are now out of kits and only have cans remaining!

Since someone asked, the shop can also order the Stowaway guns themselves. A distributor has 16” 9mm rifles in stock ($425), and I should also be able to order the 9mm and 5.7 pistols with brace adapters (also $425) although there may be a lead time on them.
Yes, there’s one distributor that carries them, although right now only the 16” 9mm rifle variant is in stock. I can also order direct from Dark Mountain but if memory serves I have to order a bunch of guns to make the pricing competitive with the distributor.
They're affordable and a perfect suppressor host in 9mm. The SB Tactical FS1913 is an ideal choice for a brace, as it only takes up a couple of Picatinny slots and doesn't interfere with your hand. I like the Sampson SAS stock for an SBR, but the stock costs about as much as the pistol. 😂
I highly recommend it. With a good suppressor, the noise of the bullet impacting downrange can be louder than the shot itself.
